We’ve been meaning to talk to you about the “General Tso’s chicken” you keep getting from that sketchy Chinese restaurant in a strip mall down the street...

Hot take: those 63 bird, mammal and reptile species had it coming anyway if they could be taken out by cats. They’re 10 pounds of fuzz, meows and claws, not cyborg velociraptors.

That’s actually a cat DMZ. Slightly different.

It’s probably for the best. The summit probably would have just ended with the two of them getting into a fistfight, anyway.

This is tricky. The show has always adjusted some details from the books, and it’s generally been for the better. But this episode managed to cover a big chunk of Abbadon’s Gate, all while jumbling up (or leaving out) characters who are important to the overall story. And while the story itself can be adjusted to fit

I still don’t get why multiple cops showed up for what should have been a $50 parking ticket left on the car’s windshield.

Who knows? If Drummer is now effectively Pa from the books, maybe Diogo fills in some of Bull’s part from the second half of AG?

Wow, they crammed almost the first 1/4-1/3 of Abbadon’s Gate into a single episode. I don’t know whether to be impressed by their efficiency or saddened by the limited depth they’re giving this stage of the story arc. Given how they seem to be condensing characters down, I guess it kind of makes sense...but it’s going

Dammit!! Why’d you have to go and tell me this? I shop at Publix all the time because it’s literally right around the corner from my house. Plan B for groceries would be a Walmart Supercenter, but it’s a 10 minute drive away and... it’s Walmart.

In fairness, there was also (post-Comcast-acquisition):

I’ve worked in the financial services industry most of my adult life, and I can say with near-absolute certainty that this is a horrible idea. These are the same people who greed and underhanded creativity almost blew up the global economic system a decade ago. They need more meaningful oversight and controls, not

Not in a literal, do-you-like-gladiator-movies kind of way. Eww.

I don’t know. The first couple seasons of OUaT were very fun. The the third was more than a little inconsistent. The fourth one really dragged, and probably should have been the end. I’m kind of surprised there wasn’t any literal shark-jumping in it. There was no reason at all for seasons 5-7 to exist.

And if you threw a few Square Enix characters into the mix, also Kingdom Hearts.

I’m so glad I met my wife 20 years ago, the old fashioned way - completely by accident, in person. Online dating sounds like a complete mess.

Staying that busy explains why he looks like that at 41. He may not need to sleep, but he’s going to die of old age at 50.

It’s like being stuck in traffic while going 200 miles an hour. While I don’t doubt that it’s stressful, calling NASCAR drivers “athletes” might be a bit of a stretch.

It seems kind of a shame to keep D’nofrio’s Kingpin confined to the Netflix Marvel world. Tonally, it could get weird to integrate him into the MCU - but it might be a good as a darker coming-of-age storyline for Tom Holland’s Spiderman.

Don’t forget Dungeons and Dragons, and possibly subliminal Satanic messages in Saturday morning cartoons!
