Ugh. That man is a monocle and a pith helmet away from being a 19th century big game hunter.

Vincent and the Doctor was great on a lot of levels, but if we’re going to pin down a single best Doctor Who episode, I’d have to go with Blink. It’s ironic that the Doctor may only be a supporting character in the episode, but it perfectly conveys the non-linear timey-wimeyness of Doctor Who. Plus, the slow-burn

The desire to allow companies based in their respective countries to continue operating normally within the US. Basically, avoid economic bullying.

It’s like when they hired him, they explicitly said, “Ok, we’re running short on people who are willing to accept jobs in this administration, so we’ll take you even though you look overqualified on paper. But you have to thoroughly embarrass America on the world stage at least once within the first week in country,

That’s odd. I used to sling packages at a UPS distribution hub when I was in college, and we were represented by the Teamsters. All you had to do to join the Teamsters was be a permanent (as in, not temp or contract) employee there and pay your union dues and you were in.

He’s a lot more like Zuckerkorn than an antagonist from a John Grisham novel.

I’d prefer D’arcy Carden (Janet from The Good Place) or Ellen McClain (GlaDOS from Portal).

Screw a “Pretty Please” mode. I want Google Assistant to recognize me barking commands at her with a “Bad Janet” mode, and respond with snark and attitude (but still do what needs to be done, dammit).

Demotivators are a painfully underused resource in out modern world.

Wouldn’t “Don’t vote for Don Blankenship. He’s bad!” have accomplished the same thing, but with less helpless fumbling?

It all comes back to the money. If Mueller, the DOJ and the IRS get all of Trump and Cohen’s personal and business banking records, they’re sunk. It might take a team of forensic accountants a few months to make sense of the mess. But once they get a solid starting point, they’ll be able to turn the thumbscrews on the

In the absence of this being clearly labeled and structured as fiction, shouldn’t Child Protective Services be involved? At best, this could be considered negligence on her parents’ part. At worst, they’re encouraging the delinquency of a minor.

Those pages have some powerful truth. I wish that 16-year-old-me would have heard and internalized that info back in the day. It would have made my late teens and early 20s a lot less awful.

Great episode, and definitely building up the tension to the assault on Io. And I liked that they showed the recovery of the Nauvoo, which was something that was kind of glossed over in the exposition of the third book. But it reminded m that one thing seems a little off vs the books - the show has kind of mashed

That was before the dementia set in, though.

Sounds like yet another reason to stick with a Pixel.

They would actually be a lot less stressful to watch if she was replaced with one of those inflatable wiggly guys.

This is one of those Aliens vs Predator deals...the action sequences might be entertaining, but there’s really no outcome that bodes well for humanity.
