I will say the oil change is the one thing I did as a younger man that I have decided I no longer need to do on either of my family’s daily drivers. Generally it costs about the same at a dealership as it would if I did it at home and I don’t have to get dirty or waste time doing it on a weekend. Then I can wrench on

To be fair, Jeep is more in his wheelhouse.

Hot take coming in. Modern car colors are not that bad, Its the cars themselves that are so bland they ruin good colors. Modern metallic paints on classic cars look great. I must admit I’m partially biased on this because I painted my 69 Pontiac in a GM gunmetal grey that is used on corvettes but looks fantastic. I’ve

Best combo. A bagel topped with coarse salt with traders joes everything seasoning on the creamcheese

I have a long standing sociological and psychological theory about this top vs bottom bagel issue. Basically my theory revolves around the ideas that which ever side of the bagel you eat first says a lot about you as a person. Predominately whether a person prefers immediate or delayed gratification, but also  other

Depreciation is valid but I personally am less concerned when your looking a vans vs SUVs as people movers, since these type of family vehicles tend to have longer ownership cycles and mileages up to and often exceeding 100k if not 200k. If your the type that trades in a trades up every few years I could see being

I wouldn’t worry too much about the mechanicals, Under the skin of the Carinval the powertrain has been around for quite a while. The Kia/Hyundai Lambda engine that runs the Carnival has been around in some iteration snice around 2006 and is built in the good ol US of A if that helps. I can also say anecdotally, my

This new Kia could be a game changer you need to convince your wife. My wife saw it and is all in on it.

The Carnival is my next people mover for my family for sure. If you look a the specs and interior of this thing its not even a competition. Why on earth would by buy something like a Tahoe when you could have this for less, it looks better has better tech and its got a reclining second row for Sh(*%S sake

Hadn’t really ever given a good look to the Saturn Sky before. Kinda looks like a C6 Corvette and a Merceds SLK got it on and had a baby right? kind of the car version of a puggle.

To expand on you point even if 99 percent of the population follows unenforced traffic laws in a county of over 300 million people that’s still 3 million A holes doing as they please on the roads.

What if you lend your vehicle to a friend or family member and they end up violating a traffic law? Would you accept the ticket since its your car? What would be your recourse if they refused to accept responsibility?

In my assessment most people only do the right thing most of the time in the matter of self interest and fear of consequence not necessarily because it is the right thing to do. When driving people think they are the most important thing on the road and they need to get there as quickly as possible. Removing traffic

What if I shot your car up with a bunch of paintballs just because?

Additionally let us consider how many millions of miles of roads we have> How and by what means could you possibly put traffic cameras on even a small number of roads.

I find it humorous that since movie made by GM the idiot driver making the illegal left turn is in a Ford. Nice little jab.

The progressive widening of that grill in sequence looks like a cat yawning.

unfortunately the vehicle you listed will never again be built, especially with a manual. If you wanted those specs why wouldn’t you just by an old ford ranger. I found several in my area with those exact specs you listed with well under 100k miles and under 10k.

Pretty good collection, I have similarly eclectic one that ranges from a 69 Pontiac Tempest to a 79 VW bus and my daily’s include an outback and a Silverado 3500 (normal size). The only thing I haven’t really owned is a hot hatch from Europe or a one of the 90s Japanese sports cars, though I would like to at some
