I believe it uses a different system vs the gas powered cars but the MIB3 system, the latest and just introduced last year, is terrible. Get me this powertrain in the Grand Cherokee L, that is what I have been waiting for. The XC90 makes a lousy 3 row SUV - it just is too small, the GC-L with this PHEV powertrain gets it as close to the Pacifica hybrid in terms of efficiency and space without having to go to the minivan look that so many dislike.
