I would imagine he could buy it out at lease end. Maybe the lease makes business sense now, pay the remaining lump sum at the end.

That’s the killer. This isn’t really a 3 row SUV, but then again, the MDX isn’t the best in the 3 row segment for space either but at least it has it standard. It seems to be a great 5 seat SUV.
Looks great and looking forward to seeing it in person.
“Or buy a Tesla because they drive themselves and are appreciating assets.”
Yes, I have been beating this drum for awhile but no one seems to care. Energy in NE is expensive and 87 is fairly cheap. I have a Sonata PHEV so I have analyzed this for the last 4 years, driving to work in hybrid mode, home in EV mode - gas has been the cheaper way to fuel for the majority of the time, even if it…
Cool jump. Looks like the boat went a little faster than it should have, hope they were filming with the boat coming at them so that it looks like the car went over it. Doesn’t take away from the coolness though.
Is that $0.129 including delivery? If so, that is great. Last month for me was low at $0.099 for generation and delivery was $0.124 which is a total of $0.223 per kwh here in the Boston area. I will say that a good hybrid will get you down to paying the same or less per mile around here than a full EV, based on my…
80's IROC Z or 00's Trans Am WS6
Add Harris to that list.
I have a ‘16 Sonata PHEV and I will say it has been flawless over ~68k miles so far. Just throw a $40-$50 oil/filter/tire rotation at it at the dealer every 7,500 miles and it just keeps going.
$30 an hour for teaching seems really low. The average salary here is over $80k per year (as of 2016 data). Then again, this is an expensive place to live but that is a pretty decent salary given the other benefits of the job.
The biggest let down of sitting in a Tesla is that it feels like you are driving your desk at work, big screen and wood-look substance. If they just put an extra $1-2k into the interior, people would like not mind paying 3-5% more for the car at this price level.
My basic approach is a big “NO” on a new or CPO car. If you really want it, start negotiating at least from a number around 60% off whatever they ask and end up around 50% of their original offer.
Yeah, not sure how removing a few crucial inches out of an already small car will result in a $10k discount. Good for all of the 4'2" drivers I guess. Otherwise, it still has 4 doors, 4 wheels/tires, battery, motor, seats, etc on and on.
I try to use mine sparingly, even in big rain storms. I use rain-x and have for 2 decades. I don’t understand why you wouldn’t use it. When you do use your wipers, things get clear even faster. I honestly think the wipers going back and forth are more of an annoyance than the rain so I will periodically clear the rain…
The only difference here is the time scale. Otherwise, most people end up at the same home base on a daily basis (commuting), a few days (weekend trip) or a week at most (business or leisure travel). Longer term we are from the earth and return to the earth.
I don’t think anyone can claim that Caddy did this entirely because of anticipated backlash because people can’t read a simple press release explaining the purpose of the car. Now we are just guessing at who’s guess is better even though from the start it was know that Caddy went in a different direction with the…
Yep. Slow speeds it steered in the opposite way to maneuver in tight spots and higher speeds it turned the same direction for better stability.
Absolutely remember when the planes were grounded. The only sound in the air were a few scrambled jets in the hours that followed.
