I don’t think any Maserati is really all that different than a Jaguar in terms of reliability. The bonus of the Jag is that they have a great warranty and service plan for new and CPO cars so they are less of a risk.

I think you are overthinking it. You have a valid reason to to be in the state and you plan to be in and out. As long as you mask up, I don’t think anyone will be bothering you. I believe the enforcement is similar to most northeast states which means that no one is really enforcing it.
I am with you on this. I would rather have a Jaguar which generally have nice sounding exhausts as well. Make it a full EV and Maserati should go away, they really have no reason to exist if you can’t hear them.
The DSG in my ‘12 Passat TDI wasn’t bad and I drove that through a ton of bad Boston stop and go traffic daily. You could catch it off guard but not really any worse than any other regular transmission. I only hated the higher $350-$400 service every 40k miles that took all day to perform. But, as a transmission,…
I haven’t looked at the power consumption but I would imagine the resistance heat in the wheel and seat likely consumes more power than the blower fan. But, the big difference in a PHEV vs EV would be that my gas engine needs to come on to provide the heat to be blown. In an EV, I am not sure if it can generate heat…
I like the idea of it. Like the Model Y, it is very much plenty of car for most people. It can move 4-5 people in comfort, has enough daily range, is quicker than most cars on the road today and likely handles better than your average car. Other than the shape looking like other new cars in this segment, they added…
I can say that seat heaters and steering wheel heat are all you need when temps are not really cold, say in the upper-20s to 50 degree F range.
Caddy is cancelling the 3rd shift likely because as much as I thought a 3 row from Caddy that isn’t an Escalade would be a great vehicle, it just doesn’t stand out from the competition. I have seen maybe 3-5 on the roads all around Boston and at least 1-2 were loaners.
I say at least anyone born into the early 80's would be interested in this. If they are not, they would pay the same money for an equally clean Fox body Mustang.
Anyone who was 5-10 years old when this came out. A co-worker of mine has many desirable cars but my favorite was an ‘87 IROC that was just as mint as this. I didn’t have and probably wouldn’t have spent the money on it but if I had $20k burning in my pocket and a desire to own a clean IROC, this looks pretty damn…
Same here, but I only put on about 350 miles per week. I am taking my wife’s vehicle from time to time as well, at least once per week just to keep it moving longer than the length of the driveway when I move it each day so the kids can play basketball where it is usually parked.
That is a hard sell in times like this. I am not exactly describing your exact situation but I live very close to the Boston border and typical lot sizes around me are small, 5,000 to 10,000 sq ft. Places are selling even faster than the typical fast paced spring market because they are likely fleeing the city. People…
Same in Boston, at least traveling south out of the city after work. Traffic is back from 3-7pm, not as bad some days but still not anywhere what it was in April.
They also need to practice what they preach (or sell). If you want to sell the need for space, you should be in your office trying to convince people that is the best way to work and collaborate.
I can’t imagine the XC40 will be less than the model Y. Your other option in this field will be the Mach-E which is priced pretty well considering you can apply for the $7,500 tax credit (guessing you qualify for the full amount if you are looking at these new).
Same here. I believe you are in MA as well. Haven’t seen people indoors without a mask, pretty simple rule to follow. As for outside, not so much which is 100% fine by me as long as people are moving and generally spaced out. I know when I am out biking or with my kids after being in the office all day, no mask…
He seems to be getting more press this way than a retraction or correction in some future article.
Exactly correct. People like to think what they hear on the news is 100% the truth. Yet, like any repeated story, it is filtered through an author with an agenda whether they believe they have one or not. Any person that has ever been close to a news story knows that the facts are rarely 100% accurately reported. There…
The Edge/Grand Cherokee/Blazer(maybe)/Passport etc are the midsize SUV equivalent to mid-size sedans like the Camry/Sonata/Accord etc. There is absolutely a market.
Looks alright for what it is, I actually like these but would never buy one.
