Didn’t they do this type of a launch before? I believe they launched the first skyactiv engine in a 3 in the 2012 model year then the full skyactiv treatment for the 3rd generation which included the all new (non-ford) chassis.

You are forgetting the 4 after that.

The tax credit is what pulled me into the PHEV vs just the hybrid Sonata. It made the EV cheaper to buy. Fuel cost is still pretty much even whether filling up with 87 running in hybrid mode or plugging in at home and running in EV mode, no advantage one way or another but I at least have an option to switch to all 87

I took the plunge about 2.5 years ago. Around 45-46k miles on my 2016 Sonata PHEV in the Boston area. I have posted the numbers before but will again, check your electricity prices, you might be better off with just a hybrid. I went plug in because the discounts were better and the tax credit made it cheaper. A$38.5k

Follow the simple formula. Base and mid level cars available from the start, it is just that the “V” now means mid-tier performance gains just like BMW M-sport and Audi S series.

Also good in tunnels when Sirius/XM cuts out. Stuck in the tunnels in Boston, pop the CD on. I never moved on to digital music, I took the same $15/month I was spending on music per month as a teenager in the 90's and converted that to a monthly subscription.

Adding to your last line, you have currency manipulation, government subsidies to drown out competition (US does this too with agriculture and a few other industries as well) and forcing foreign companies to have joint ventures with local Chinese companies.

Usually done to stretch your legs.

To make sure you have space for your bag, to save the time at the end of the flight.  There is no other reason.

Yes, you feel like maybe you are driving with just the DRLs on then realize that is all the illumination you are going to get.

I am surprised. 6'4" here. I owned a first gen CTS which was fine with me as a driver alone and my wife. As soon as a car seat was involved, the writing was on the wall, too small, even she had to move to an uncomfortable position, although just barely fitting. I always wanted to like the ATS but it just wasn’t

The only thing truly correct in this blog post is that these are all actors that have been stars of the same old franchise that is still not resonating with the majority of Americans yet Hollywood and the media continue to cram it down our throats hoping that they can convert just enough dummies to the other side. No

If it is to be smaller than an ATS, not likely fit for humans, ones with legs anyway.

That is not a V.  It says so in the title but the pictures show it to be a base model CTS, with the 3.6 engine.

I agree with you, your exact location and where your destination is will cause this to vary. For me, I am only a mile from the Boston border to the south so I am basing my opinion for my situation. For other towns nearby, it might be different. I do recall a study that came out last week that listed a few towns to the

The Arteon really lands in between the A5 and A7. It has something like 5 inches more rear legroom and a trunk that is nearly 1/3 larger than the A5.

I liked that my ‘12 Passat TDI had it and our ‘14 Enclave we still have has one as well.  My only issue is that I wish they would have spent $1 or $2 more on the materials to make them not look as cheap.  A little plastic dial stands out, especially when your full dash is like it is in this car.

The thing is, driving into the city is still faster and cheaper than taking the T.

I think the struggle Ford has is similar to the other auto mfgs; what is the future? They are throwing money at EVs but the customers might not actually want them and the same goes for autonomous autos. The near future for most auto mfgs seems to be that they will be sacrificing margin to get EVs out the door, EVs

This obviously varies considerably from market to market. The greater Boston area doesn’t have a ton of McMansions but almost all new home construction is of that variety since land prices are so high you need to justify the high cost of building a home by making it seem like you are getting something when spending >$1
