It is all dependent on how you drive and how many miles you can maximize in EV mode so it is very hard to compare mpgs. That being said, I was able to crack the 1k mile number with several tanks (around 12 gallons)by plugging in every night for my ~65 miles of driving daily (28-32ish on EV only) and by keeping weekend

That is because the Clarity is the most hideous thing ever produced, he doesn’t want to show anyone he actually is the owner so it is relegated to the curb.

No, it is insanely easy and simple to plug in every night. I do it with no thought.

Here we go again with weird rounding errors, just like one of the posts yesterday.

Yeah, took awhile to see Tesla Model 3s here on the East Coast. Now they can’t be unseen.

I believe 10 years out the projection is that Amazon would have paid in roughly $10 billion in taxes.  If all goes to plan, the city and state win.  If this were another company, I would say that might not be worth the gamble but for Amazon, I think this will work out well.

You are correct in your first sentence. And the taxpayer paying to cover the new transportation or infrastructure you mention, that benefits everyone in the area, are the highly paid workers employed by Amazon, who will definitely not be paying zero taxes like a huge portion of the city’s population.

You forgot to mention that your post was pure sarcasm...

If you read anything about this it is simple: There are not enough engineers available in any other location. Pretty simple. Also, easier for NY to digest ~50k new people than most other cities/metro areas.

I agree. As much as I am a Corvette fan, I am also a fan of a more conservative look which the 911 pulls off in this group, compared to the ZR1 and Mclaren. It looks great and any of these would be within tenths of each other with a talented driver.

I’ll be that guy and suggest the ZR1 if you are concerned about saving money. At around a $20k discount or more (depending on how crazy you go with the 911 options), it likely competes with both of these.  Considering how the ZR1 was ever so slightly faster than a 720s in C&Ds lighting lap, I bet it could hang with

Knowing someone with the tool (pick up) you need isn’t the same as having one yourself. Not saying I don’t agree with you, just highlighting that people generally don’t want to have to ask for help and many times people with the tool don’t want to use it on your schedule.

Maybe I missed it but in the instance mentioned where the car was trying to merge into a lane where there was a car in the driver’s blindspot, what level of input is needed to take control of the car? If you just brush (by accident or on purpose) the wheel in this instance, or anytime autopilot is engaged, does that

Not sure what is so lucky about that... sounds miserable except I live with the same issue in MA as well.

We (wife’s car) bought a new Enclave at 32 in 2014, a car she wanted ever since I showed her the concept years before. I was sitting in the TourX last week while getting an oil change, fits me nicely even at 6'4", front and back seats. Since they are not selling (at least in the Boston area) there are huge discounts

The Sonata is a 9.8kWh battery rated at 27 miles of EV driving. I typically can get 30-32 miles on my commute home which includes backroad, highways speeds, suburban slow traffic, city driving etc and slight elevation change towards sea level (140', probably makes very little difference although most of the loss is

Humans.

I sent this as a tip almost a week ago. The problem is that it was a link from a Fox News article about this so it is likely the email was killed with fire in the servers before staff could see it.

Great information, thanks for taking the time to type it all. The Sonata is the same, it will allow EV in some circumstances up to 60% of power required to move the car but the normal cutoff is at 40%, you learn to understand how it will respond differently when going from a stop or if you are already driving. Speed

How do you like the CT6 PHEV? I didn’t realize those were actually out in the wild. I just searched the Boston area, not one in stock. Looked up around the country and see several 2017 available with low mileage in the low to mid $40k range. Incredible depreciation but a damn steal!  That is a lot of car for the money.
