Jesus. Thank God they’re only making 10 of those things.

I’ve worked in a few factories on the production floors. They are not nice places in both cultures and physical environment and management will never care.

Hard to wrap one’s mind around a 3300lb, $36-42k hot hatch.

this you?

Oh yea. Toyota spent a lot of money developing this drivetrain for racing, then spent even more to make it streetable. I don’t know how much money Toyota is making for each GRY or GRC sold, but I’d guess it’s between barely breaking even to losing money. I feel that this car is a labor of love. Kind of like the R32

While I’ll admit that the new Civic Type R is about 1000% more appealing than the last, I’d drop my $40k on this waaaaaay before the CTR. This has a much, MUCH more special drivetrain and is much more justified at that price as a result. This is even more special than a Golf R, they’ve made haldex pretty good these

You’re paying for the drivetrain. No one questioned the prices of WRX STIs or EVOs.

I think so. I mean, the harsh truth is that it’s still cheaper than the average new car today, and if you go for the Circuit — or whatever the Circuit becomes after 23 — it feels premium enough. The Core grade definitely has more of an economy car feel to it, but you’re paying for things you won’t see in the interior

Always love the “yeah I got quoted $300 to fix the dashboard” but then didn’t do it. Why? because they knew it would not be done right or there was more to the story. That’s a pain in the a$$ job so good luck with the buyer finding that same deal.

Here’s the question everyone’s been waiting for the answer for:

Ernie Gygax and Justin LaNasa are bigoted scumbags and their company reflects their values.

Star Frontier is a game set in space, that involves aliens (bugs, blobs, all the standard stuff). Trying to work in stereotypes about humans just seems like doing trying to do extra credit work for your bigotry.

The problem is because it’s a Jeep and not a Dodge or Ram.

Every other automaker has clear brand hierarchy for just this sort of problem. For every Sequoia and 4Runner there’s a Lexus GX and LX. For every Excursion there’s a Navigator. GM even has three tiers, with the Tahoe/Suburban —> Yukon/YukonXL —> Escalade. This

ZOMG do not go near a BMW or Mercedes in your 20's, or ever unless you like chasing down unsolvable problems while piles of cash are burning. The proper answer is something RWD with power. Corvettes are for guys more in the age group of our president.

That’s the problem, then....unless those people say hateful garbage out in the open rather than keeping it under their hat, then we won’t know who we need to call out. Or as Bill Mauldin had written in his WWII book Up Front, responding to officers who took issue with his Stars and Stripes cartoons: “I build a shoe.

Before the MAGA cult starts whining about the First Amendment:

tis better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all’

I got to drive this, I cannot say anything about it for months, for legal reasons and because I have lost the power of speech.

It’s got a lot of bat-mobile vibes going on

This is also from 1986:
