Here’s the trick though. If they want electric, then the only way to get dual motor/high hp models is to get the AWD models. That is literally how things work in the electric world. And at that price point, they are going to be getting the dual motor versions most likely.

I mean, it is not completely conflicting. Pressing a single button isn’t considered a combo to me. But yes, you are still required to make sure the device is transmitting the correct identification, exactly the same as the 8Bitdo controllers.
