I'm 34 weeks and this is my second go round (my son will be 1 next Tues) and although the birth is a big thing, it's the feeding and maintenance which definitely goes on for a longer time and is harder to master. Best of luck and I know I'm just some person on the internet but stay strong - you can do it.

Thanks - his mum was red and his dad was blue but he's turned out with that beautiful deep red colour. I've had cattle dogs all my life but he is my first red.

Why won't flickr work ? :( Oh well here is a pic of my boy Massimo.

[www.flickr.com] Hmm I can't get flickr links to work - hope this one will get you there...

Australian Cattle Dogs are awesome. Massimo agrees.

Rebel Wilson is currently doing ads for Jenny Craig here in Australia. She lost I think 10kg and then had to maintain her weight for a movie role which I'm presuming is this one.

Look at those cheekbones!

Morton was cuter than John Taylor.

Second the Angel Care Monitor - our's only went off a couple of times due to him rolling off and we were both out of bed and in his room under 5 secs. Meant we were able to relax a bit better around him. (didn't stop my Mum going in to check him every 30 mins and waking him up "just to be sure" though...)

Exactly. I always think of that Mum in the USA who rolled her car into the lake with her two kids strapped in the back and then said she'd been carjacked. She put on lots of waterworks and acted 'how a Mum should'.

From memory it was twisted (by the media) so that people looked upon it as almost a cult of types and that they supposedly did stuff like sacrificing babies (which is obviously where the she killed her baby part came into it). The general ignorance of Australians towards a sect of Christianity should not be

If you can avoid induction do so at any cost. Mine was a yucky experience last time round where thankfully my little man was vacuumed out whilst I was on the table for a C-section. I had to be induced because of pre-eclampsia.

One of the tail (the group with Ana Lucia) stewardesses is Aussie - the dark haired one who disappears about two episodes after they turn up. I only know because I saw recognised her from crappy Australian soaps.

I can't imagine what she would have felt, but I do remember the perception about her reaction or lack thereof. It was a similar reaction to what people said about Joanne Lees who was abducted in the Northern Territory by a guy who killed her boyfriend.

Reg Mombassa is right all along. Jesus was Australian!

There has - in 2001 a 9 year old boy was attacked on Fraser Island (near Brisbane) and killed by a dingo. Here's a report on it - [www.abc.net.au]

My Mum wants me to have a schedule caesarean (currently 32 weeks pregnant) so she'll know when to book her flights to come and visit.

This is so true! I tutor a family of refugees from Burma (7 kids) and when they saw me mixing up formula for my boy they asked me if I fed him rice. As he was only 10 weeks at the time I said no he can't have rice until he's older.

Yeah the Meryl Streep accent. She did better than most but it seems that any non-native Aussie who does an Australian accent seems to just overdo it so much. We don't have the variations that people in the US or UK have but it is usually a lot more subtle. It is kind of alarming when Robert Downey Jnr in blackface

Ahhh yes I had forgotten about that - I think he was a lay Pastor (not sure if that is the correct term) in the Seventh Day Adventists.
