does your mouse pad have multiple colors on it? Iv'e found with a red laser mouse, some colors, or surfaces, or the type of the ink used to apply a design on top of the pad, don't work well or don't reflect to the sensor correctly in some cases. A solid-colored mouse pad fixed my issue when I still used a laser mouse…
