There’s no chance I’m going to be able to drive to work on Monday, the roads are insane and there’s a foot and a half of snow (not to mention the drifts) in the community driveway. :(

Ugh, winter IS totally dumb. To stave off winter blues, I eat whatever the heck I want. Not helpful advice, but it’s how I deal! :-P

Traveling between boroughs, and within some outer boroughs, is going to be very difficult, though, with all buses and elevated subway lines shut down. My partner had to leave work early so he wouldn’t get stranded in Manhattan — we live in Queens and our only subway line is above ground.

Yes, I would have happily gone to the 1939 Fair as well! As I understand it, the ‘64 Fair was more USA-centric and less international than the ‘39 one, so there’s definitely a special appeal to the latter. I like the idea of nations coming together to share their cultures and innovations.
