MLS needs to continue on its furious quest to expand because it’s the only way the league stays (if it ever was) economically viable. Even at its current clip, MLS is losing money, and they admitted as much a few years back. Expansion franchise fees have to go up, and they have to keep absorbing new markets, to try

It’s okay to hope that, no matter what happens here, more states, counties, cities, etc. write these kinds of laws and make them enforceable, right? Because the other option, just, you know, not handing public money over to a private business for something that doesn’t necessarily help the public seems to be near

Jesus...now MLS teams think they have pull with public money? Fuck that. I hope Columbus goes all San Diego and tells them to stick it.

He’s a fuckin’ fascist. These men are cowards.

Ted Cruz and The Simpsons

Man when will these right wing shitmongers stop trying to depreciate some fine pop culture with their desperate mitts.

I can’t wait for John Goodman to get on Twitter and call him a cuck.

I’m not surprised she’s awful, I’m surprised she’s THIS awful after telegraphing her plans to move into acting for so long.

I don’t know. Rousey was brilliant in The Elephant Woman

Don’t forget the Oscar-considered Expendables 3.

Some say Ronda can’t act but I direct you to the scene in Entourage the film where she says, “I think someone’s fucking in there.” I believed she thought someone was fucking in there!

So this comment might be wire fraud.

Most important piece of advice: Don’t ask a lawyer for an answer to your legal question at a dinner party. Lawyers are not like doctors. We did not do 8 years of training. We do not just “know” the answer to most things because most things are nuanced, constantly changing, and don’t require off the top of your head

As a lawyer, I’d add this one: Just because someone is a lawyer doesn’t mean they know anything about the area of law you want to ask about.

Is Disney in the habit of going after non-profit powerpoint presentations?

I don’t understand what you’re saying. And what adoption of human rights? As far as I know, the UN has recommended a set of human rights, but they are not codified into any law.

Most important advice I ever give to anyone is sorely lacking here:

Most people walk into a business with a figure in their head they’re likely to spend and the percentage they’re likely to tip. There is very little any server can do to change that.

Is it not, though? I mean, it would take a lot for me not to leave my standard, “carry the decimal, multiply by two” tip. Like the waitron would have to get anti-Semitic at me or something. So the price of the meal I order really does determine the tip.
