It’s even more hilarious if you know about the *real* Adam Smith (go and listen to Freakonomics’ 3-episode series on him)

1. Increases resale price to have the box
Around a year ago I sold my Xbox One X in near perfect condition (I’m not especially careful with my consoles, but I don’t understand how people get so many scratches on their consoles). And the price was considerably higher than it would have been if it wasn’t in the original box.
When buzzfeed wanted to do legit news, they weren’t half bad. They were the ones who uncovered the true death toll of the 2021 Texas freeze
True. I probably should’ve used the term “laissez-faire capitalism,” “libertarian economics,” or something ?
“This country really has a major homeless problem and I don’t know what the solution is.”
One thing is for sure. It would be really obvious who had to pull start 24 chain saw engines on a cold morning to get to work.
“No one is above an ass whuppin’”
The technically correct nerds will come for you, but this was one fucked up “beta,” what with selling season passes and all and not making it clear when it would all end.
I didn’t play it, but I can see why people are pissed. Seems like it was more a test to see how much people would spend, and now that interest is dwin…
There are a few odd things in this story that makes it sound like there is more to it than we’re hearing.
The July launch you referenced was the actual beta period. I participated in the closed alpha, which was last May, and then the game came back in July for an open beta before launching with season one in August. They have just now decided that the game was in beta the whole time because they fucked up so bad. You…

Every mess contains these five things that can be more easily tackled one by one.
About a decade or so ago (shortly after PS4 and Xbox One launched) I was a Gamestop employee. My first full non training day actually. I was told to go out and clean the window and door just before closing. As I was out there a guy ran up towards me with a gun and put it to my back and walked me inside the store. Kept…
It reminds me the case of Near, the BSNES original developer. Years of bullying for being non-binary and autistic.
“Congrats guys, you prodded and pushed another developer too much and they’re seriously considering just stopping for good,”
Not to mention there doesn’t appear to be any logical explanation for “a bystander heard the commotion and called the cops” and “only called the cops after they tried to deescalate the situation”. If they were only passing by and called the cops after hearing a commotion then how exactly did they try and deescalate it?
Also, the suggestion that the police are called every time someone is heard yelling on a college campus ... just ... sigh.
