Just waiting on the Elon fellatioers to try to justify why this car is designed in such a shit-crap way.

I was once forced to take shelter from a tornado .under an overpass on the KS turnpike. Back then (before cellphone warnings), it was possible to get caught by surprise like that. I was driving a semi, lightly loaded, and the tornado was heading towards me from the side. Most of the 4-wheelers on the highway that day

It’s usually people avoiding hail, though. I didn’t encounter it so much until the last ten years, as if something is affecting our weather patterns...

Yeah I did a double take at the article, read your comment, scrolled back up... ohhh... that was confusing. I was gonna suggest putting a car cover on...

I can explain both phenomenon.

Yeah, but they also thought David Hasselhoff was a good singer...

Don’t leave your Bowling Ball in the car all day in the winter and then break it out at the alley

That there aren’t more colors available on cars is criminal in this age of computer controlled paint mixing and application.
Heck, every car should be available in any color you farbling want.
We don’t have flying jet cars?
I have to buy a freaking giant four wheel drive suv for my tiny commute because that’s all

Any two monstrously oversized SUV or pickup trucks.

You’re right in terms of models, but not in terms of units sold. Sure there will be an endless number of BEV models launched between now and then for the reasons I gave earlier (read: stock market), but most people will still be buying gasoline vehicles for convenience reasons.

There’s legitimate engineering reasons why it’s not ready for primetime.

YES.  Came here to say heated steering wheel.  I had it on my 328 wagon and I miss it dearly with my current car.

I hate the tilting mirrors. Try backing a trailer when those bloody things tilt down.

I’d pay for the reverse, a cooled steering wheel. I live in Australia, and no shit, I used to keep an oven glove in the car for hot summer days, just in case I had to park in the sun.

Really, none of you?

Likely several things here but with things getting hot and not working and then working again points to a thermal problem. I remember 80's and 90's GM ignition control modules that would get hot, shut down and kill the spark. By the time AAA arrived, it had cooled down enough to start working again.

The stupid thing is that the front wheels can fall off anything if the lugs aren’t properly tightened. Local tire shop failed to tighten the lugs on my daughters front driver’s side wheel and it almost made it all the way off before she got it stopped and asked for help -- with only one lug still partially engaged.
