I’mnot personally the type to get involved in that melee. I generally wait until the end then get on and gate check. I just don’t see how people with less patience than me find that boarding method preferable. I think it’s mostly clinging to status quo.

What airline do you fly where you don’t have to line up? I find the rush to the stanchions to be the first in my arbitrarily assigned group to be for more frustrating.
