Are you really going to drive around with a full HANS? I don’t think so.
$2000-3000 is only “why the hell not” for stock cars, apparently. Yesterday’s Miata was cheap but radioactive, somehow.
No, the Mazda 3 hatch has excellent visibility. The C pillars aren’t big enough to block a car, and it’s easy to adjust the mirrors to see around the entire car. I even forgot to unfold my passenger mirror today and had no trouble staying safe until I could unfold it.
They finally fixed the interior!
What kind of sensor do they need for HCCI?
This has got to be the right answer. I’d be surprised if any car uses a temperature sensor that isn’t in the intake somewhere.
I’m guessing that Ferrari isn’t providing the whole runner length graph.
But I already have a Miata sitting next to my TDI...
I would love for them to add an SCR to my car, but I’m not sure it’s actually economically feasible, regardless of what Horn says. Is he really saying they’re going to pay dealer service departments to cut exhausts, drill holes, and install an SCR system and tank?
It’s relatively easy to just up the boost and timing in a turbocharged engine. The tunes do so at the expense of even more NOx emissions (higher temperature -> higher NOx).
I’m with you. I love my SportWagen TDI, but if VW lets me trade it for a new Golf TSI or SportWagen TSI I’ll probably take it.
If they were to retrofit the cars with SCR and an AdBlue tank the tank would be small and have to be refilled more often.
My county does emissions inspections. I don’t think I can avoid it.
Not mine either, but I totally autocrossed mine and was competitive with Mazda3s. Dunno what I’m going to do now that the government hates my car :`-(
$4000 is a lot to spend to “dress it up for market”.
I will sell my VW Sportwagen for one.
The car’s 9 years older than me, and I’d love to bring this to a Cars and Coffee. It’s old, driveable, clean, and rare in the states, and if I had money for a show and Sunday car I’d buy it.
Inspired by Mazda 3?
Who put a dormer on my car?
