That was really good, and should’ve been the lead story instead of the War & Peace length novel exploring the ins and outs of newspaper delivery that we got.

But aren’t you fascinated by how paper routes worked in some random small town 35 years ago, hmmm?

That story could have been four or five paragraphs long. Bad form the including it - but even worse form making it the first story.

Hi Friend!

I posted a comment asking people not include too many extraneous details, and someone strongly disagreed with me and said the details made them feel like the story was real and verifiable. After reading the first story, I stand by my opinion. I did not need 10 paragraphs(!) of exposition explaining how newspaper

A lot of people commented that that story was so creepy but I found it…uplifting? They ghost loved her neighbor and home so much that she wanted to let her friend know that she had passed on, and then went home.

I think the extraneous details were meant to make it feel more “real” but instead I was rolling my eyes at how fake it felt. You remember all that shit from 35 years ago?

That first story sure didn’t read the comment about extraneous details, Christ.

Aw man I’m not bummed and glad there aren’t many “real life” scares this year. Those are always way scarier for me than the "got a bad feeling and later learned this house had something happen here" stories, but then again I'm also glad fewer people are being traumatized by like, the scary landlord creeping in through

Oooo this is wonderful. One quick note, I wrote ghost girl and it looks like the handle is a little off. I’m “Notyourstolove” rather than “notyourlostlove.” Thank you!

hey y’all! I have investigated this theory THOROUGHLY as my uncle suggested the same thing. However, the window is fine and hasn’t popped up on it’s own since and stays down even when it’s unlocked. Every time I’ve opened it to show coworkers which one it is, I have to put my back into opening it as it’s quite sticky.

The gas station kid! Full body goosebumps. Kids are weirdos. Kids at night where they aren’t supposed to be are terrifying.

It could just be that the window is old and sticky, so when then sun hits the wood the right way it warms and expands enough to let the window open, while most of the time it’s too stuck to slide easily?

Curious George in an Abandoned House for me....

But what about the noises, Professor?!?

A star for “child of the corn chips.” Perfection.

Sorry, perhaps it's just a wildly different climate, but *how* is a building that has been empty for 113 years in any way habitable, let alone in good enough condition to serve as a school?

Nahhhhhh, nope nope nope!!!

That was my thought as well but with how sticky those windows get over the years even if there’s a non-paranormal explanation it means about 7 highly unlikely things all had to line up perfectly which is in itself pretty creepy.

After seeing it, I’m inclined to believe that this is just an old window with lead sash weights. The ropes and pulleys are probably shot. What’s likely happening here is the weights eventually coming loose and literally pulling the window open as they come down. Spooky, but not paranormal.
