We were allowed phones and ipods (and books) where I went, but we weren't allowed to use them outside our rooms because they want you to interact with others. I'm beginning to see how much freedom where I went gave us.

Not everyone hits bottom in the same way. Many addicts never reach the point where they are say, pawning their parent's engagement rings to buy crack. That's some people's story, certainly, but there's a pretty good chance that if you can afford rehab or insurance to be in rehab, you're not at the point where you're

I keep posting this to everyone saying "OMG no books"— the rehab I went to allowed them and I dedicated almost a full suitcase to books, thinking I was going to have a ton of time to read. And I did have some, but for the most part our schedules were full of group and individual therapy, lectures, Big Book study,

When I went, I brought an entire suitcase filled with just shoes and books. I also brought a Kindle. So I was well prepared, but I had very little time to read because of the schedule. I would have been pissed if I hadn't been allowed to have them, though.

The rehab I went to we were allowed to bring books. I even had a Kindle. But what I didn't have was much time to read. There is down time, but your day is pretty scheduled.

The place I went to—nobody was court ordered to be there and the group I went through were mostly there because they wanted to be, though some people were there because their spouse or doctor wanted them to be there and it was fine. People come around and the people who want to be there help those who don't see why

So....I just went through a 28 day program about a month ago and these guidelines are pretty good. You want comfy clothes, but no need to look like a complete and total slob just because you feel like crap. I brought a bunch of books and a Kindle, but hardly had time to read anything because the days are pretty

I'm wondering if maybe there's some practical/financial reason for doing this that has nothing to do with health. Vegetarian does tend to be cheaper.

I don't live with my boyfriend but I spend a lot of time at his house. He lives with two other guys, mid twenties to early thirties. It is not uncommon to find an empty beer can in the shower. When I mentioned this fact, none of the residents felt this was at all out of the ordinary and certainly not a matter that

I once worked with a girl named Harmony who had siblings named Justice, Charity, Chastity, and Liberty. I guess it's better than naming your children after alcoholic beverages, but not by much.

My boyfriend still hasn't forgiven me for making him go to a friend's dry Christian (and worst of all, incredibly boring) wedding. I love her, but it really was the worst.

Am I the only asshole who thinks this might be kinda fun? I mean, if it wasn't for the price tag and the fact that I don't currently have a dog, attention starved or otherwise on which to inflict this?

He does totally look like him!

A friend of mine gets his cat done like this during the summer and the cat always seems so ashamed about it for the first week or so. Like, he hides from the other cats, slinks around and just otherwise seems embarrassed about his ridiculous haircut.

A dog requires considerably more time and energy than a cat does. I like that my (shelter) cat has dog like qualities, but I also like that he doesn't require as much attention as a dog. I personally would never spend money on a cat— there are too many of them in the shelters that need homes that it just seems

This has been my experience with Bengals, too. I know a couple of people who have them and they say they're just wonderful pets. And every one of them I know plays fetch, is sociable and affectionate. I was really surprised to read this about this particular breed because if anything, they seem like ideal domestic

If you need a low to the ground horse, Icelandics are the way to go. Ponies are SUCH dicks.

You should be a wedding planner. You're just full of good ideas!

I find this Lego and Slim Jim wrapper dress rather intriguing. I hope it comes in plus sizes.

I think this is sadly closer to the truth much of the time. How depressing.
