Dennis picks Kate as MVP every damn week with no rhyme or reason to the extent that it’s now a regular bit that I call out to my partner, “Guess who got MVP?” to which she will answer in exaggerated surprise, “Surely Kate McKinnon?!”

Apart from rightfully ripping on Deniro’s utter lack of live perfomance ability, I feel that once again Perkins misses the mark on this. Vast amount of audience feedback I’ve read on the episode has been positive.

This episode was an utter mess of half-baked ideas. The only exception being Black Jeopardy. Everything else was a waste of Boseman and this cast.

I was just happy to hear Prisencolinensinainciusol play during the bridge tournament scene. A song by an Italian, spoken in complete gibberish. Its “lyrics” are supposed to be what American English sounds like to Italians.

According to all the behind-the-scenes information available, Commander Riker was supposed to be the “star” of The Next Generation. If you watch the first season you can also see this is the obvious intent. However, audiences liked Picard so much that Riker got pushed to the side.
