Oh that’s Brown 25, except the grey version.

Too bad they went this way. If they wanted more tall white dudes, at least they could have done something completely fresh and unpredictable like selecting Edd China to host.
Everyone knows the street racing scene has exploded over the last few years with “Street Outlaws” on Discovery and 1320 (and others) on YouTube. Whether there is more racing going on or if we are just more aware of it through media, hard to say, but I would guess the former.
Lame move, but at least he stayed and took the heat, apologized and all that. Hopefully he learns his lesson. Choi is very young. He was was going to some of those street take overs a while back, swinging his lambo in intersections, had a few close calls then someone got injured (he wasn’t involved) and he called it…
Spoiled again! When will I learn not to go on Jalopnik before watching my recording. Grumble grumble.
Fantastic pics! Well done. Car week has become crazy, but it’s still fun and I have no issue getting around - just avoid downtown. Monterey aint exactly easy to get around otherwise - it’s a tourist town don’t forget. Laguna Seca is more my cup of tea - get up close to vintage cars and no crowds.
Mazdas and rust - common. The NB Miatas are notorious for frame rail rust due to moisture getting trapped in the front of the frame rails, rusting from the inside out. By the time you see the bubbling on the outside, it’s too late. Recommend anyone buying an NB use a boroscope to inspect frame rails.
You can’t fix noise and ride comfort with OTA updates and I’m skeptical about how many improvements can be made to the brakes with software tweaks - there are always physical limitations. Sounds like Elon was doing PR damage control with that tweet first and foremost.
When I bought my Miata years ago, the used car dealer was not around and had his assistant handle the sale with him walking her through it on the phone. He wanted 7K and I offered 6.5K out the door. He accepted. I put it on a credit card, signed the paperwork and was out the door. The next day I get a call from the…
The annoying door buzzer that goes off when you go in and out at O’Reilly’s that no one pays attention to anyway.
Well, you’re looking at this the wrong way. Cars are not investments. They are tolls that allow us to function in the modern world, kinda like cell phones, ovens, blow dryers etc. You need to look at it this way: did this car allow you to go to school, get a better job etc, etc, etc.? Then what value do you place on…
My God, that cockpit, what a mess.
We had several Corvairs in the neighborhood that I watched rust away as a kid back in the 70s. I rode in one of them occasionally and always thought “what a pile of crap.” They were slow, loud (in the back seat) and sunk way down in the rear. To me they remain unremarkable and ironically owe their celebrity status to…
Actually, running your engine while fueling isn’t that horrible. An open flame of any type is. Not sure about the cell phone thing either, I think that was myth busted a while back. We refuel cars all the time in endurance racing while running - never an incident.
That’ll buff right out. Good thing that fender bender wasn’t in the rear quarter panel, cuz that’s real expensive to fix and the car really won’t ever be the same again after and... - oh wait.
Doesn’t Senator Dianne Feinstein live on Presidio Terrace? I think she did at some point. I use to work up their back when I cleaned chimneys and would see DiFi from time to time. Those residents are pretty well politically connected I would imagine. This sale won’t stand and the residents will buy back the street.…
Why you no say name of the dealer so I can avoid them when I am rich and in LA sometime looking for a porche.
I won’t watch this, can’t handle it, but what a POS, that dog thrower.
I’ll take that first one - 6L V6? Real unicorn - massive torque too!
Too bad they all can’t be like this guy - just gently tapping the mirrors - how nice! (Skip to 1:10)
