I’ve never had the tolerance for replaying things that are much too difficult. I don’t understand why anyone builds games that are like that. How is repeating the same thing over and over again until you do it perfect fun? If I had fun with that, I’d have useful skills I could build with real practice :P I play games

On serious note, games dont owe you shit. If a dev feels that a game isnt the experience he wanted people to have and he tones down the difficulty to fix that, thats fine. But these devs bending their wills to people who demand experiences cater to them, come off as weak willed and not in charge of their creation.

yes, if you don’t spend a year on a single game, you are a baby. that makes sense.

If you want something super open rules-wise, you should check out Dungeon World. It’s got structure to get you started, but then your group can just tell any story you like and make the rules be what you think works.

Given that the people who invented the format pronounce it with a soft g, I think it’s pretty safe to say it was said that way first.

What it stands for doesn’t matter. Laser stands for “light amplification by stimulated emission of radiation” but if you say it with an s sound instead of a z sound you’re gonna sound like an asshole.

Oh god. What an acronym stands for has *nothing* to do with how you should pronounce the acronym. Do you say laser with a soft-s hissing sound? No? But it stands for “light amplification by Stimulated emission of radiation”!

MI 1 has more tedious parts than 2, I think, and 2 has some neat locations, but 2's ending was really disappointing. And I do think 2's Guybrush lacks a little bit of charm 1 had (that 3 found again).

It also had a good story! And interesting locations. And interesting controls, I quite liked the eye/hand/mouth-based control scheme. And fantastic voice acting.

I miss my pirate barbershop trio crew :(

Okay I apparently have some new games to play, if they’re really that much better than Curse of Monkey Island (I’ve never heard of Dig???)

Oh wow, how did I not think of this? Perfection.

It’s a really good review and it expresses beautifully a lot of the feelings I was having that I couldn’t totally surface myself! Great game, fun to play, but I still am going to drop it when Splatoon 2 comes out :)

But this time it’s the meddling kids who are getting away with it :)

For real. I’m astounded at how many people seem to believe in ghosts (do this many people also believe in unicorns and leprechauns and banshees and dragons and...?)

There’s a million other explanations, including “the kids found a great way to get some time where the nanny is paying less attention to what they’re

Asking him directly is probably best, but in general you should refer to trans people with the name and gender they’ve told you is right for them, even when telling stories in the past. The idea is that they’ve always been that gender/person; their choice to come out didn’t suddenly make them change at that point.

That’s fair but if they just re-released gamecube games for a while a lot of people would be super happy

I would love a remastered Super Mario Sunshine...

Maybe for you, but it makes him feel good. So I’m sad that you can’t just let somebody do what makes them feel confident when it has no bearing on you.

Kids do this a lot. They learn social roles, cues, poise from imitating fictional characters, even when those characters might be... not what you’d see in reality. But they imitate, learn from reactions (their own and others’), and change things how they’d like from there. It’s pretty normal.

Zack, if you read this — you are great, I love your dancing, and I hope you always continue to do what feels right for you even if other people tell you you shouldn’t. You got a new fan today!
