I saw Mononoke when it hit theaters in the US and I loved it. I was in college at the time, and not very familiar with anime. But I was blown away. I love the movie to this day, and I’ve since seen all of Miyazaki’s work. Mononoke is also one of the only well-dubbed foreign movies I’ve seen.

I agree the books are great, although Dune itself is very long, took my dyslexic ass a while. I’d also suggest pretending they end at Children of Dune. A nice trilogy and NO MORE BOOKS WERE EVER WRITTEN.

If I had to guess how old Rebecca Ferguson was from watching that movie I’d have said around 45 and Oscar Isaac looks about 50 in the film. I don’t know if that was makeup or what but they both looked entirely age-appropriate to have a teenage son in my opinion.
