Quite the bald-faced lie, and then some.
Quite the bald-faced lie, and then some.
I just saw it this weekend, it’s streaming on HBO Max. This is not what The Menu is about-but just wanted a chance to say I loved it and everyone should watch it!
OMG no, this is not The Menu. The Menu is terrible in a totally different way.
I haven’t seen The Menu but isn’t this The Menu?
Yeah, I agree. The Kardashians are annoying, but they are also people with families and lives. I too would be super scared about safety given the level of fame Kim as and has invited into her circle. The woman was already held at gun point during a robbery in a hotel. Her moms best friend was murdered at her…
I feel the same way. Thanks for saying that. The snark is uncalled for here.
It’s funny that I am really, really enjoying the mundane day-to-day of the Star Wars universe as depicted in Andor. Like, the boarding announcements at the Coruscant port, the Imperial mid-level staff meetings (“Can’t we do these by holo??”), the delegation of Imperial authority to the Corporate Security forces and…
I’ve been rapt with every episode, kind of surprised how refreshingly non-fan servicy it is.
It’s been a while since we’ve seen Kate wear the earrings to match her ring. They all look great (that sailor outfit is hilarious and cringey and a perfect nod to the bizarre fashion habits of the British aristocracy) and are all the better for the silly faces. CNN published a piece comparing Louis’ face to his…
By Ep 3, I turned to my family and said - You know this character is a Republican Senator for the state of Indiana by now. Kudos to the actor for playing him with all the self-righteous indignation we get to see Ted Cruz display after a mass shooting.
Tell me you’re a wealthy lady with hired help without telling me you’re a wealthy lady with hired help.
I agree, this asshole is THE WORST. I want to punch his stupid face.
Homely? That girl is beautiful!
Seyfried nailed the tough parts of Holmes, and elevated the weaker parts of the script (of which there were more than a few). She absolutely deserves much of the credit for the show working as well as it did.
This is one of the best full-cast performances, top to bottom, that I can remember. Every single one of them is 100% believable in their roles. But Seyfried is absolutely showing more than I ever knew she had. A+.
For real. I’ve always thought that she was a stronger actor than she gets credit for, but this was a whole new level. It’s one of the most impressive biographical performances I’ve ever seen. Especially playing such a weird, distinctive person. I think Naveen Andrews did a great job, too. I’m a big LOST fan and he was…
I did like the “I don’t work for you anymore? You stopped paying me?” line and the filter that got removed when there was no longer a paycheck involved.
That final sequence of Holmes at the office was just such a magnificent showcase of everything that made Seyfried’s performance here so great.
Seyfried’s performance alone justifies the show’s existence. Just absolutely crushed it. She deserves all the awards.
