Jeez, just googled that sort of hernia and it sucks. But how come they can't fix it? Most of the friends who've had hernias have had mesh put in place to prevent stuff from going where it shouldn't.

I used to love those things. They were the best candy ever.

Go cold turkey on it for a couple weeks. No coffee, no chocolate, no tea, no caffeinated drinks like Coke or red bull, no medication with caffeine in it like Excedrin. See how you feel. Then, when you're sure you're completely clear - it can take a month - drink a cup of coffee.
