I always figured there was a hidden undercurrent of jealousy/lust in that Sir MixALot opening. Like, she emphasized big and round soooo much, she was absolutely staring... Maybe for a while.... Maybe got caught.... Gotta play it off, can't be gay!

Life's a hell of a lot shorter if you're obese than if you're a healthy weight....

Also, dramatic subplot about terrorists trying to get the lamp back. See, the dude whose corpse he took it off was trying to bring it back to some Sharia law loving woman owning dudes in ISIS and they send teams after the lamp. First team doesn’t even make it out of the country before getting shot. Second test caught

No no no, it needs to be a PTSD injured combat vet who grabbed it from a dead guy as a trophy & brought it home.

...some people? How many fat people have you *talked* to about why they eat and what it takes to lose? Really, actually listened to, not just started out like a dick telling them they're shit.

Alternately, you could always, you know, not talk about stuff you don’t actually understand.

Not this one. In Fire & Ice they're straight up caricatures of the low-foreheaded black neanderthal. The whiter the skin is in this movie, the more of a noble/hero/sexy character it is. The darker the skin, the more stupid/evil. It's a pretty straight up visual representation.

Have you rewatched it recently? It's horrifically racist. Not even subtle about it. It's a culturally significant and amazing piece of animation with deep, deep flaws in its presentation. Sort of like Lovecraft: much-loved and seriously problematic.

"It's not a geode," Gloria said patiently as she clamped the FLIR on the stabilization base. "Geodes are sedimentary origin, formed through chemical precipitat-"

Yessssssss.

The movie was missing something - but this death scene was the best thing ever.
