I'm kind of shipping Carter and Reese right now.

Oooh, Simon Baker? Will be checking that out.

I've heard they can stun prey with their snout, that they sometimes do this bludgeon-like blow first and then coil around pretty quick to suffocate them. But I can't cite sources.

No badgers here? Really? Not a single badger?

Awareness is the first step.

Everyone's done the walking hand thing, pretending it was a critter.... When the walking hand showed on screen, even though there was absolutely nothing shown on the top that would indicate what it was, it clicked in a way the rest of the images didn't. Ass though those took effort to see properly but that one didn't.

Kickstopper, we have a priority tasking for you...

There's a phenomena that occurs with some metals which might apply here - it's called whiskering, and it's where metal atoms rearrange themselves and form fine filaments at right angles to the exposed surface of the metal. [en.wikipedia.org](metallurgy)

Frickin' president's daughters, always getting into trouble with gangs of armed thugs. Also, has anyone explored why presidents all have daughters? Has any president ever had a son? Are men with female-trending sperm more likely to seek politics?

I didn't smile but part of me was grimly amused. It's such a bloody ridiculous, stupid, awful situation, there's no possible sane response to it.

Ahhhh, the old law of buttered cat.

The Ood were in writing; I didn't comprehend much they said out loud. :) Although the fact that I was paying enough attention to notice? Possible ought to make me sad. :(

There was the swirly thing with the vaguely Dr-Whois theme song. And the Ood get a mention, near the end.

This reminds me of the description of the virtual universe telepaths inhabit in "Emerald Eyes".

...suddenly the pitfalls of emotional intelligence in Robots mingling with the 3 laws has a whole new meaning. Wow.

Dunno where that one came from but it's all yours if you want it. So sick of hearing about "Normal" when it comes to relationships, and seeing kids I know try an have relationships like the ones they read about/see on TV. Huzzah for us freaks. :)

Oh, screw normal with a whale dick! Who needs it? Whatever relationship works with both you and your partner is what's right. The husband and I have made 15 years out of something most folks would think is kind of weird. We only look normal on the outside, and I betcha nobody else you think is "normal" has the same

Heeeee. You're mean. :)

I was an idiot when I was the same age as most undergrads... the folks who manage to pass through that phase of their life *without* being idiots tend to regret it later. Like not having a childhood. Or so I'm told.

I wondered the same thing, but thought I was already heading into TLDR territory as it was. :) Also, the "smash" comment is a bit of slang; in this context it means a bit of quick n dirty sex, not an actual violent bashing.
