There are way too many factors at play here to pin all the blame on an 11-year-old girl who tried to do the right thing. It's ridiculous how so many people are so willing to blame Sansa entirely for Ned's death when there are GROWN ADULTS and a sociopathic teenage king who actually had more to do with it.

Ned signed his own death sentence by being stupid enough to tip off Cersei. Never mind that, Cersei would have let him go to the wall, but Joff decided to give the people a show and have Ned killed on a whim. Sansa had nothing to do with it, and did everything she could to try to save her father's life. Blaming Sansa

Well, so far she hasn't been the CAUSE of any deaths at a wedding.

Jesus, it wasn't a fucking immaculate conception. You know who else created Joffrey? Jaime. And you know who else raised him, and taught him that hurting people and beating women is okay? Robert. Which is talked about at length in the video above that you clearly did not bother to watch.

Cersei is crueler than Joffrey? Crueler than Ramsay Bolton? Crueler than Tywin? Crueler than Gregor Clegane?

Jaime and Cersei are the same person, just changed by circumstance. And I really doubt GRRM would waste all those pages writing from the POV of a character he doesn't believe has any redeeming qualities. If you've read through ADWD and you can't sympathize with Cersei at all, then I really question your reading of the

Just because the word misogyny doesn't appear in the text of the article, doesn't mean that the article and the videos (which are the real content here) aren't about misogyny. We're talking about female characters who are hated by fans. There are not half so many main male characters in the series that get the level

SERIOUSLY. I just want to cry for those Lannister kids.

I absolutely adore Lena as Cersei. If you get the chance, watch the episode of the show with her commentary on the DVDs. She's absolutely hilarious and it's clear that she really gets the character. I think she's amazing, and especially knowing what's to come for Cersei, they really have the woman to pull it off.

You're crazy. I would TOTALLY invite Cersei to my birthday party!

I love what you wrote about Cersei here.

I completely agree about fans judging female characters more harshly. I love Sansa and Cersei as much as I love Tyrion and Jaime, but the respective amount of shit the male characters get is much, much less. I mean, Jaime threw Bran out of a tower and he gets forgiven by fans more easily than Sansa does for not

Bravo. I love Brienne.

Lena Headey has the best face. I'm so glad they cast her as Cersei.

The theme of the article is how many fans unfairly hate on female characters, and you took the opportunity to chime in with more hate for a female character. I think you're missing the point.

Whoops, you are not the OP. But really, Tyrion is a fandom darling in the first few books (he's one of my favorites too, so don't think I hate him) and his character gets rather dark later on in the series. Cersei gets a lot of character development as well, which shapes my opinion on this.

Have you only read the first two books? If so, then yes, I think your opinion of him will change later on. I was assuming you had written that comment with full knowledge of the series so far, my bad.

Do you think for one second that if Arya had been captured by the Lannisters, she would still be alive today? She would never have been able to survive in the environment Sansa has. To say that Sansa is less strong because she is "passive" is to miss the point entirely.

Just gonna leave this here because apparently none of the people commenting here even bothered to watch the videos.

Sooo your answer to criticism of misogyny and hatred of female characters in the series is, "Oh wait, your forgot the woman I hate the most!"
