Yeah, I would have liked that but for practicality I can see why they didn't do it.

I'm glad everyone all across the internet agrees that the best part of this show is seeing Joffrey get slapped.
I don't understand. A lot of real continents fit perfectly in rectangles. It's how we print maps. I don't think real-life geology applies in a world that has seasons that go on for years and, you know, magic.
I saw this map on Tumblr the other day! It's so gorgeous. I hadn't heard about GRRM putting out maps. I guess I know what I'll be buying in October!
Yes! I would actually really like that at the end of the season, but you're right about it not being likely since they haven't cast Vargo Hoat.
Ooh, I forgot about that! You're probably right. They also seem to be bumping up Jaime and Brienne heading for King's Landing, but I suspect that'll be at the end of the season.
I loved reading Sharp Teeth, but I wonder how well it will translate to film. I loved that the book was written in prose and I wonder how much of that will be lost on film.
I agree, it would be pretty poetic to show Jaime and Tyrion both getting horribly disfigured. Didn't Jaime make some remark about their injuries when he released Tyrion in ASoS?
Plus, how can it not be awesome with the increased amount of Dinklage? Basically they should give him the Emmy now. I completely agree, Annalee.
Don't worry about Nikolaj Coster-Waldeau wasting away in a cell all season: Gwendoline Christie (Brienne) said in an interview recently that her scenes involved, "lots of sword fighting, lots of fighting… there’s some canoeing." CANOEING.
Looks good! I read that Lenny was already pretty close to Jennifer because she became good friends with his daughter Zoe while shooting X-Men.
This is why I love ASOIAF so much: there are many varied female characters, all of whom are strong in different ways. Arya, Dany, and Brienne are usually the first ones people think of as "strong female characters" (and they are!) but Sansa, Cat, and Cersei are ALSO all strong female characters even though they're…
It's really too bad about TWD because in the comics the women are much better written, IMO.
Joffrey's voice being synced up with Prince John from Robin Hood was pitch-perfect. I love it.
I agree, I think she did a great job in this scene. The hardest thing will be translating those scenes during the Games where she's thinking about how she should portray herself to the audience, because she's thinking one thing in her head and doing another thing. It'll be tricky.
She's annoyed because they're supposed to be grading her on her odds of surviving the Games based on whatever skills she shows off. She's probably going to her death, and they're not even paying attention.
Isn't Cheyenne Mountain where the lottery winners went in Deep Impact?
I thought the reaper was Danny Pudi in a wig at first, no lie.
The origin of the word that I heard way back in the internet yesteryears was much more colorful... and indeed, squicky. (Link is probably NSFW.)
I've seen a lot of people comparing it to HTTYD already, but as far as I can see there's only a slight resemblance in visual style. Scots versus Vikings, not even similar storylines. HTTYD was a beautiful movie, I loved it, but I don't really think the comparisons are merited.
