“George, you have to listen to them. They tried to kill me with a van. Finish the book.”

“The Winds of Winter is not so much a novel as a dozen novels, each with a different protagonist, each having a different cast of supporting players, antagonists, allies and lovers around them, and all of these weaving together against the march of time in an extremely complex fashion. So it’s very, very challenging.”

The good news is that the fire that’s perhaps been flickering these past several years is now burning brightly, as Martin says he’s making the book a priority

Most celebrities get death threats. George R. R. Martin gets death reminders. “Hey, Martin. You’re going to die soon. Hurry up and finish that book I love before you die any minute now, ok?”

Not really. The damn game is six times the price of a movie ticket, which means, to make that money, it only needed a 6th of the customers that Avengers got, all of whom could buy their “tickets” up to two years in advance, meaning it’s not really a “opening weekend”, but an “opening 730 days”, and it’s been released

Well I, as far I know, can’t trade in my digital copy of this game.  If I had it on disc, I could take it to the local gamestop and get some cash for it.  I would have if I had a physical copy.  So there are uses to physical copies.

Do yourself a solid and tell your brain to take a hike.

So glad they spent time on such important details as shrinkage while ignoring the horrible UI and button inputs/mapping (raising your gun should NOT be on the same button use to talk to people; if this is messing players up, it’s not the player’s fault) and not being able to change your load out at a camp despite

And....they’re out, face-down on the canvas!

A selection of projects Jason Blum has been apart of since approximately 2008:

I have watched it. While it’s far and away their best work, it’s okay, at best.

I’m only saying this because I care, but there are a lot of decaffeinated brands on the market today that are just as tasty as the real thing.

I just watched XX, it was pretty good.

Given that Rife believes Blum is “closing off” women from directing horror movies with his studio based on zero fact or evidence, once can safely assume that AV Club is closing off minorities from writing about pop culture on this web site.

there’s no real excuse to close off your studio’s signature genre, and the career pipeline that comes with it, to half the population given the numbers of women who are very much inclined to direct horror movies, thanks.

Sorry to de-rail the serious point you’re making, but “Internet Culture Editor” always makes me laugh.

I´m glad i actually read the entire interview, which makes pretty clear that they actually approach a lot of women directors and they usually reject the projects. His assistant tells him like 8 names of female directors they have approached, for god’s sake.

And do we know for sure Blumhouse has never approached any of the above directors? Maybe he didn’t wanna rattle off a list of directors, that most people have never heard of, that have rejected him over the years, when promoting his company’s new movie.

I like it when a black director or female director hate getting called black directors or female directors, and want to just be called “directors.” And then you have people like Katie who insist the other way around.
