So, is there a new definition of “now” that includes “6 months ago”? Because that’s when I read that interview. In the URL it even says that it’s from April.

Humans are the most absurd of all the sentients. I have no idea why you guys invented the Kinja except to exacerbate your worst communicational aspects, what with misunderstandings certain when one loses linear conversations, and that Grey / unGrey distinction is a great way to introduce an uneven popularity hierarchy

They’re counting on people thinking the article is about Mr. Serena and giving them those sweet, sweet clicks.

Yes, we do like to hivemind and then pretend it’s individual thought.

I didn’t even have to read this article to know what it said. You see Reddit in the headline (and Barsanti on the byline) and you pretty much get the gist.

Doesn’t look like Matt Damon, tho.

How is FP more immersive than TP? That’s is easy , you are looking at the world like it was reality , like you were there for real. You can see everything upclose , world has many more details, no wanky Android and slow TP animations and no player character covering half od the damn screen. That is why FP is more

Welp, definitely the most cyberpunk-ass looking place I’ve seen realized in a game. I love the Deus Ex series, but they always showed more a facade of cyberpunk in the distance given technology constraints. When the demo has you out into the city, with the megastructures around, the dense amount of people and places

This all looked pretty damn great. The aesthetics looked great, the tense vibe during the quest was well done, night city looks great and the gunplay looked pretty decent as well. The perked up weapons looked very nice, the blades as well. It still felt like the gunplay didn’t look as smooth as in some top of the line

This is one, combat-oriented quest. I expect way, way better experience than Skyrim ever could provide, and thus far I’m not disappointed.

THAT WAS FUCKING INCREDIBLE. MY FUCKING GOD.

Not to be a dick, but that’s more on you, than on that game.

I guess that’s going to depend on how complex their AI is and how often you can disrupt them. A lot of games can handle a ton of people milling about so long as you cannot really interact with them.

I’m mesmerized by the texture maps - they intentionally gave that guy flawed skin. You can see the acne scarring and bumps. That’s kinda brilliant.

Right now it’s a video of a guy walking around for me and I’m seeing things like elevators with interact-able UIs, daylight, elevators, etc. and I’m pretty much in. The big thing is daylight, I’m so used to cyberpunk things being like night time all the friggin time.

This, so much. I thought for a bit that I’d missed some amazing RPG release, and got excited for the first ten seconds of the trailer...then saw the game board. You can’t ever call something like that “gritty.”

It helps establish how this new world is different from our own

You’ll take my magic in my fantasy games from my cold dead hands!

Eh, I love magic in fantasy just like I love technology in sci-fi. I just don’t enjoy when it’s lazily thrown into a fantastical setting like required window dressing with no creativity.

I just started reading The Last Wish, and you are right. I love Geralt’s stoic, logical approach to situations. He is very much a Spock-like character living amongst the hyper-emotional masses.
