DCCU’s fuckery and foolishness won’t impact MCU’s lady films (yes, I feel bad for typing that) in any way.

After Man of Steel, Batman v Superman, and Suicide Squad, I had nothing but low expectations for Wonder Woman. It’s gonna be crap, look at their recent track record.
You mean those things you can use for free in any library? Or buy for like a dollar and use any of the billions of open wifi points? I’ve had a cellphone since I left the nest, and that sure as hell didn’t stop me from living on spam, bologna, rice, and beans for a year.
I think most people here who are critical of the DC movies, myself included, would dearly love for those movies to be better than they are. Because they really should be, given the iconic characters that they’re working with.
I can totally believe that WW will fall victim to narrative/editing problems after seeing BvS and Suicide Squad. WB/DC seem unable to keep their hands off these projects once they’ve been shot and I can’t imagine that suddenly stopping with something they’d be viewing as “risky” in the form of a female-fronted…
so i know this is going to seem selfish...but honestly at this point i don’t want Two brilliant comic universes...
He’s probably just trying to not fall victim to the monetary black hole that is Funko Pop. Lord knows I have.
Pretty much came to say what you said. You said it far better. Thank you.
Well it’s about damn time ...
Sadly, that Wonder Woman rumour is all too easy to believe. I really want it (and future DCEU movies) to succeed and do well - because who doesn’t want two brilliant comic universes in movies? - but considering this “supports” a similar view back in August (which Patty Jenkins denied) and considering the last three…
‘I’m very disappointed in what I saw, and it seems like all the problems are the same problems. It’s discombobulated, it doesn’t have narrative flow. It’s just very disjointed.
Also, if in the original UW-Madison study, where a difference in life expectancy was shown, the control group was indeed eating processed foods with high sugar content (as the article reports), this is a huge caveat for me.
It is good to see that you have not changed George, but unfortunately that means you are still reporting biased half-truths and crap science.
God damn it, my wife and I JUST BOUGHT THE FIRST TWO MOVIES.
Why? Charter schools and school choice show consistent benefits to disadvantaged youth and are hugely popular among minority parents. (Even the NYT op-ed against DeVos references a study that shows significant gains in achievement.)
Just like my old “Biology of Aging” professor said: “At aging conferences, you can always immediately tell who the caloric restriction kooks are - they’ll be the dozen or so emaciated ones huddled under blankets. Maybe they’ll live a few years more than me, but seeing them makes me not really regret it.”
Quality of life > Longevity
By grud, no way I’d almost-starve myself just to live longer. If you’re gonna live, life has to be bloody worth living. Just counting out the days - constantly thinking about food and eating and all the good stuff I’m denying myself - why would I want that?
Have you seen humans that practice this? They fucking look horrible. And, no there is no reason to live longer. These assholes that are trying to find a “Cure” for aging are huge pussies.
