A game should literally not be able to start in ranked without full teams. I understand the “dropped players don’t get replaced” aspect of it, but the initial players are 100% the responsibility of the game to set up. 

There are tons of thankless, miserable roles when it comes to working on video games, but Community Manager has to be near the top of the list. Especially on the internet, where Gamers forget there is an actual person on the other end of all that vitriol. Or even worse, they do remember that and still choose hatred…

it’s also important to note that you don’t NEED to complete the pass before the next one comes out. Unlike a lot of battlepasses these don’t expire. still I’m glad they made the progression more front loaded for the players that only have time for a few matches rather than a few hours. not everyone can sink in 3 hours…

All though the battle pass needs some tweaking to make it feel rewarding, I must say I love that they are doing free for all events like this that nets you good loot. I’m a long time Destiny player and wish Bungie would stop being so greedy and adopt this type of thing.

I am enjoying it, but it is held back in the way you say, its a roguelike without the randomisation that really makes roguelikes intriguing.

They should have the boosts last a set amount of matches rather than a set time limit. Unless the timer for the boosts only runs while in an actual match which I doubt. 

Honestly I totally prefer automakers going wild, gauche, tacky, overdone, crass, or cheesy to boring.
