No. They aren’t. The debate will air at a specified time on October 15th whereas the West Wing is on a streaming platform and will drop at 3am ET on October 15th and people can watch it whenever they want.

I don't think I ever heard of “Blast Processing” until AVGN videos or something in the mid-00s. Not sure it was used in the UK marketing (where I believe the Master System had actually outsold the NES so it was a different story).

I think that if you start the article sharing with your reader that the charts are (and have always been) rigged then you can make any claim. The charts don’t reflect the people but the corporations.
