It’s been awhile since there’s been a movie that I’ve actively hoped would bomb really badly, but this one, right here! Possibly even with the added irony factor of its failure being partially attributed to the pandemic.

Same here. Bisexual characters tend to be more rarely represented in the media, and it seems much more in-character for Velma to be bi. We’ve seen her attracted to guys plenty of times throughout the various Scooby cartoons, but she’s clearly got a thing for Daphne too.
I’m amused that about three movies out of that top 5 were actually released late last year. Does that even count as 2020? I would posit that no, it does not!
Clean out your desk: You are fired, for not recognizing that the whole “tYpInG lIkE tHiS” meme, aside from being incredibly stale and played-out, is really little more than a discreet way to punch down at the speech patterns of the mentally disabled!
Re: The Jane Krakowski Native American thing, I’ve noticed a negative trend where it feels like there’s this sort of a weird hierarchy when it comes to how certain minorities are treated in the media compared to others. As an example of this, look at the way that the tone-deaf but otherwise relatively tame Song of…
This has to be the most active comment section I’ve seen on an AV Club article in months, and it’s almost entirely made up of people going off about how bad recognitions sucks!
Not only are you blatantly putting words in my mouth, but the very notion of you of all people, miserable scold that you are, trying to claim anyone else is “pearl-clutching” is truly asinine. But hey, keep coming back. And we’ll keep right on ridiculing you! You certainly make a good laughingstock.
I’m not claiming to speak for the entire site, that would be impossible. But based on the sample group of this comment section, it certainly appears a large number of people on here dislike you, and for good reason. To try to argue otherwise would be downright delusional. Notice that not a single person has come to…
You think the reason that you’re so widely despised on here is because you’re “different”? In your own immortal words: lol. Don’t try to feed me that persecution complex nonsense! People can’t stand you because you act like such a self-righteous asshole all the time. And unfortunately, for as long as this is the way…
The difference is that Dr. Emilio Lizardo is a well-respected commenter on here that we actually like. On the other hand, there’s really nothing that an “impostor” Recognitions could say that could possibly make him any shittier than the real one. Hell, this one might even end up being an improvement!
So, they lazily changed their name to the first thing they could think of as a kneejerk, superficially progressive gesture, found out a black soul singer has already been using said name for decades, and are now suing her. This whole pathetic saga is peak 2020!
Soon enough, people on social media will inevitably be in an uproar about “The Chicks” supposedly being a misogynistic band name, at which point they’ll change their name to “The”.
We sacrificed Jenna Marbles to our gods for this?
A social media site that’s little more than an obnoxious echo chamber with a crappy interface? That will never catch on!
How does one of the worst streaming services (IMDB TV) somehow have a much more mature approach towards handling problematic content than Netflix or Hulu?
Wild rise and pathetic collapse
No, I could whip up a drawing like that in less than 5 minutes!

Modern Leftists turned into pearl-clutching ‘90s-era conservative fundamentalists so gradually, I didn’t even notice!
You know, you didn’t have to rush to just say the first dumb name that popped into your head right on the spot... it’s okay to spend a little extra time brainstorming. Most of us weren’t even aware you were still around in the first place!
