Ive seen several racing at COTA but its not a car youd ever see on the road i dont think. Think i read that only something like 100 were ever made

and the R doesnt come with tires anywhere near the level that the Type R does.  give them the same tires and that gap massively closes.  give the Golf R a simple rear sway bar and its handling is greatly increased.  Tuning is a whole different beast. this is the fun of the MQB platform

as um sure you know the beauty of the MQB platform is not in leaving it stock its in how well it mods.  Also the latest golf R performs well above the prior.  you complain about the performance of the last R then complain about the buttons of the new R.  The AWD system on the latest R is significantly better.  Its

they look great in person. one of their better designs. but the drivetrain is not good

for me its the BAC Mono. Such a beautiful design and it looks like its pulled straight from the future or right out of an Anime

not in the market but Golf R are everywhere where i live

people will probably vote for the obvious, like the Civic Type R or the Integra Type R, but for me its the MK7 GTI in 2dr form. With the eLSD and big brake package they area a great platform. Very slight modifications massively improve handling and power and its the only FWD high hp car ive driven that can handle gobs

Fix this and the exterior look and ill be wanting an MK8 golf R again. as it sits now i much prefer the MK7.5

I want to like this car despite its outdated interior, but i just cant get over its nearly 4000lb weight

I do like this car but if VW can improve the interior controls and the exterior look the MK8 Golf R would hands down be my choice. As it stands now they are neck and neck

how to say you didnt read the article without directly saying it...

never thought id see the day that a honda accord looks better than a BMW 5 series

They have some horrid cars throughout their history but they’ve really topped themselves with the new 7 series

Oh and as for items i must have in my car not features, I always keep a change of clothes and a swimsuit in case of a fun emergency

For me its a wagon. I like gardening and outdoor activities like paddle boarding and windsurfing. I need the length and cargo space of a wagon, but i want the lightness, handling, and low seating position of a sedan. I also want roof rails so i can carry long paddleboards on the roof. My ideal car would be a GTI wagon

Agreed. I said the same and much preferred their earlier concepts and the promises. There were 4 years between this 2009 concept and the first FRS. about half way between that i said what im hoping this car is like is an s2000, then just bought a used S2000 instead. Glad i did. i enjoyed driving the S2000 far more

they showed several more concepts years after this first one. I like the first one best but the shipping product didnt look anywhere near as good as any of the concepts. nor did it deliver on the fun to drive aspects as it should have

that FT-86 was a way better visual design.  Far more cohesive. It also was shown in 2009!!! and the BRZ didnt come out till 2013.

for me it was the FRS/BRZ. Id been following it since the first concept which said it would be light, over 200hp, and very inexpensive. But then i watched as each new concept made it uglier and the price rose way over their initial claims. So after waiting years i realized a used S2000 has all the things i was hoping

There are two. The Nissan Quest minivan where they designed the dash around the aesthetic of a trashcan, and placed the gauges and controls so far away from you.
