I particularly like how they do the "change camera angle, turn to face camera again" bit, which unfortunately gets cut in syndication.

Speaking of irony, you're the one taking offense at my speaking ill of the dead.

I think it's fair to say that the hundreds of thousands dead in Iraq matter a bit more in the long run than anything else Hitchens was involved with. You're acting awfully self righteous about something where the man was objectively 100% wrong.

I'm pretty sure the fallout of the Iraq war is all the "take" one needs on that subject. Hitchens, like a number of other prominent New Atheists, bought hard into the rhetoric of a Clash of Civilizations necessitating that we go into the Middle East and show those Muslims who was the boss, because it worked so well

On the other hand he was a big booster of the Iraq war so fuck him.

They need one of those in their lineup at all times. It started with Silk Stalkings.

For people who care about such things, I suppose.

Yeah but that's not even necessarily the same continuity.

They haven't been shown doing that on the show, though. Therefore in the universe of the show they still have to breathe.

In the silent era you would sometimes even have an entire candy shop next door to the theater (as seen in Sherlock Jr.)

Huh, I can't see it and I've got AdBlocker turned off on this site.

Given Russell's on-set behavior I think she's just hedging her bets in case somebody else on a production gets to him first.

I've been going through a lot of retro arena rock on Spotify and he comes up a few times, and it's definitely conflicting - "Do I downvote this on principle or give him a fair chance?"

When That Theme came up, the reaction was amazing.

I always want to try the specialty burgers.

Both Baby and The Last Dinosaur were favorites of mine. (That song is actually in the opening credits as well, the guy putting together the clips just decided to put it at the end for some random reason.) Neither probably holds up but I'll have to revisit them anyway.

Those were based on the Xenozoic Tales comic book series, which was actually pretty damned cool. (All those names are from the series, though I don't recall Mess.)

The whole "pointless tag" framing at the end does kinda sum up a bit of the dilemma- there's not enough time to put an actual resolution in there so what the Hell do you do with that space?
