I liked that you could actually see Chang getting better in the part through rehearsals, while Annie was just sorta doing a bit.
Every little bit of pressure helps IMO.

Krakowski was born to be in Fey/Garlock projects. Nobody is as good as her at selling the utter absurdity of things.
It means when they devote a significant portion of screen time to Ilana Glazer making out with Alia Shawkat, it stirs something.
Even, say, Val Kilmer got better offers than this.

They do kinda push a little too much on Danny's inflexibility, even when he does end up making some compromises.
Some people in the comments are down on him but I think he does a great job.
