Trip to the wine country this weekend, so nothing much except maybe some tabletop.

Bev was going to be killed earlier, though. He decided to string that out a bit longer.

That scene with Bella may have been the hardest to watch, even in retrospect knowing what else is coming. And following it with Freddie talking about how she was the cancer editor was perfect- a nice pithy comment on how our society treats it.

It's up already! "Not everybody is dead, but not everybody is alive." So… uh…

"One surviving female character"- you mean besides Freddie Lounds and Bedelia, right?

Back at The Movies, the somewhat underrated and as-yet-unmatched (though still very flawed) moviemaking sim game from Lionhead. I'm into the Sixties now and appropriately enough running into trouble, as stars age and productions drag on and everyone wants entourages now but I'm not getting any new personnel to replace

I suppose I will be able to talk more about this later but right now brain no worky.

Who returns? Who dies? Taking all bets! I also offer video poker!

I'm still trying to work out how dense you have to be to think this would be real. "Joe Millionaire" at least is a vaguely plausible set-up, there are millionaires out there who aren't household names. This is trying to impersonate one specific guy and convince everyone that a member of a family that has its slightest

That shot of one of the Mutos doing a flyby out of the fog was just beautiful.

There is a panel of J. Jonah Jameson leaning out the window shouting in Godzilla's face. It is the greatest thing.

I hope this means Peggy is getting a boost of confidence, because the way things have been going she's been on a path towards a nervous breakdown. Poor girl, I hope it all works out for her in the end.

I was sure he was going to use it at some point, but man, that was just perfectly staged.

Honestly it seems like this isn't the best bet for a movie, because you'd actually want to show some of the games and consoles and other things that are under at least two kinds of IP protection, so you need to clear it with the companies and they may not like how they're portrayed.

It's entirely because of the Blackwater episode. Whether or not that was a fluke, they're not going to find out.

It's good to be the queen.

"You know the insane woman who kept letting her son kill anyone who looked at him wrong? Uh, she… tripped. Darnedest thing."

I figured it was poor man's trial by combat.

I saw the author do a talk after a presentation of the movie version, and yeah I'm looking forward to this. It could make for a really great black comedy a la the Coen Brothers, two people who just aren't very good at robbing banks but get good publicity because people hate banks and like pretty ladies with guns.

I always felt the new Gatsby was kind of underrated. It's not subtle at all but the book really isn't either- there's a reason it's taught at the high school level as an introduction to the idea of symbolism in literature.
