It is damn close to my 335is/DCT with some light modifications (FMIC, light tune, LSD, M3 supension arms and subframe bushings).

More so.
No way on old CTS-V.
That is your mirror into which you are looking.
The M340i G20 highlighted for me how much progress had been made over the M2C F87 after I drove them back to back. M2C better on the track, M340i better everywhere else in the real world.
Acura is FWD and simply cannot approach the limits of the M340i in any way.
ZF 8HP is a whole different beast.
Go see it in person.
Most drivers (99.99%) do not shift as well nor as accurately as modern DCT and AT. People overrate their skills. I love 6MT too, but my DCT is never wrong and much faster.
“ ... it is going to tank in the US and from antidotal [sic]evidence ....”
Bexause you drive in rush hour parking lots?
Radar cruise control? Really?
Chicks dig heaters.
Maybe your vision is deteriorating?
8 speed >6 speed, especially when it is an ZF 8 HP.
G20 is a great car. The only worry is Americas’s insistence to drive SUVs.
“The only thing I dislike is BMW’s insistence on run-flat tires.”
“I’d really love to see the data behind that! “
“A set of original-equipment forged wheels (19 x 10.5 inches up front and 19 x 11 inches in the rear) for the GT350 weighs in about 33 pounds per wheel.”
All current chassis were too heavy. No one would buy a 4300 lb. Supra.
