I test drove one of these new while waiting for an oil change to be finished on my then-new 2011 328i.

seeing this hurts. my uncle parked this car in front of my house when i was in high school. i used to bug the crap out of him to let me buy it so that i could get it running, it was a deep navy with a navy interior. the wheels were solid chrome and the windows tinted. the interior was in great condition and smelled

I don’t get it. What’s fake about it? It does exactly what a car’s grille is supposed to do...

I would like to add Dual-Zone Climate Control to that list. I like to incrementally increase or decrease the temperature so that I am comfortable year round.

Every body except actual buyers. If they did the BMW wouldn’t have canceled it.

Active grille shutters....

The smoothness of the I6 alone is worth it. CLA45 can’t compare.

I don’t think it’s possible to regret going from a FWD-based transverse I4 2.0T to a RWD-based longitudinal I6 3.0T.

Not a fake grille, these are active shutters. Opens when more air is needed, improve MPG’s when not.

The BMW service lounge is comparable to the Mercedes service lounge. You’ll be fine!

Supras were never sports cars though. Always been a grand tourer. If it was me, I would have just started with whatever Lexus most closely fits that description. The SCs were just Supras , so there is even precedent.

I was pretty intent on getting a Supra, but I also cross shopped with a Cayman and a Grand Sport. I’m not into convertibles so no Z4. Once they announced no manual, the Supra unfortunately kind of fell off my list. But until then it was for sure No. 1. I’m in my late 30's so the MKIV was absolutely my favorite car as

Geez. I broke my collarbone in a cycling accident, got a titanium plate and only 6 screws, and was off physical activity for a month! Can’t imagine racing days later...

Thank you for this article, Elizabeth. In the decades that I’ve been reading about cars and motorsports, I’ve been left with the impression that Ken Miles was a quintessentially MOFW, Brit. Tough as nails, no question, but not very animated. My concern about this Ford vs Ferrari movie is that the general audience will

I had a ‘53 Special as a DD back in the early 80's. Always thought it looked like a sad puppy dog (but I loved that Straight-8!).

Unsung hero? dafuq? Seriously anyone who knows this story at all past “Ford and Ferrari raced against each other” knows about Ken Miles

Another racer similar.. Masten Gregory.

Infiniti was actually a lot more like Lexus. They did have one budget FWD model (G20 then the I30) just like Lexus (the ES) but all their other cars were RWD platforms that were actually premium cars in Japan (Skyline/G35, Q45/Q45, Leopard J Ferie/J30). The G35 was considered the absolute best compact sport sedan next

As much as I dislike CUVs, there is no denying that the 2003 FX was incredibly ahead of its time. Still looks fresh today.

Counterpoint*: The G35 was more than just a badge engineered Skyline/Fairlady. On the FM platform you got a 2 seat sport coupe, a 2+2 GT, and a pretty capable sport sedan.
