Awww, bummer. Tiff was a good presenter and so was his crew. IMO, 5th gear had more tech info about cars and dealt with more “normal” cars whereas Top Gear was more showy & in-your-face. Yeah, it was an also-ran but it wasn’t scrappy to me. I liked their piece about all of them taking a car for a drive and rating it -

As an owner of an Audi B7 S4 (with 3 pedals), I approve of that lead image :)

So, how long does it take to input an address into Google Maps... if it doesn’t autofill? And if it does auto-fill and gives you options, you now have to pick through a dozen similar looking address... <shudders>

Yeah, I’m in SoCal as well. REI has their annual sale right now. I missed the Sports Chalet closing sales, if they had one. I’ve only been into Big 5 once!

When’s the liquidation sale? I missed the Sports Chalet closing as well.

So, some good comes off John Oliver’s piece.

I wasn’t even aware of these sample boxes! TIL!

I cringed when he backed up trying to untangle himself from the fence. And I was watching this at work without audio... the sound of expensive metal scraping must’ve been brutal.

Would be interesting to see this related to bike sales & first time bikers. I’m guessing the number of accidents went up solely because sales for first time bikers went up - which is quite obvious and takes the gravity out of this article’s headline. :)

Sorry I don’t use pre-configured phones, I’m modular

That’s an interesting correlation for data miners - battery life vs ride pricing. Also, I’m assuming the logical reason is just to get a power source for their phone...

Oh this is freakin’ awesome! I’d spend so much time with this app alone... hope it works on my 2nd gen Nexus 7; will give it a whirl once I get home (literally as well coz I can then see the accelerometer data during the whirl LOL)

Haha, I hear you... My CFO bought a Model S recently... Small discussion group started seemingly out of nothing around him like micro-blackholes popping up everywhere :)

Well, these aren’t really big issues for Tesla... especially one that went through multiple delays & then an accelerated production & delivery timelines. Customers endure worse quality issues from other manufacturers or products. Model S & Model X get a bigger cut of the limelight given how great they’re supposed to

The year-long backlog is based on pure hype, assuming you’re talking about the Model 3. The company has had 1 successful product so far - Model S. The Model X just came out and only a few have been sold.

Lol... as funny as your comment maybe, Tesla doesn’t really care about the quality issues of others. At least, it (ideally) shouldn’t. The quality issues shown in the article are on merit, irrespective of what other manufacturers do. Yes, that previous guy was commenting negatively about Tesla and you’re clearly a

If I may, what is wrong with iTunes? I know I’m opening a Pandora’s box here but I don’t use iTunes and I keep reading about its horror stories.

I’ve been using an Echo for 2yrs now and was wondering why no one else had jumped in. Compatibility with TV/Chromecast/Speakers would make GHome awesome for me. Even more so if they price it right.

Oh man, that looks incredible! <salivating>

Everytime I see workspace pictures with that monitor, I just fall in love with it! I’m so tempted to pull the trigger but the $7xx price-tag is quite steep, I keep going back and forth. Imma wait for the July 4th sale to see if it comes down since I’m in the market for a big (>25") display for picture editing - my 13"
