And it already begins. The slippery slope we all were talking concerned about just revealed how slippery it really is.

I bet most of the 51% that sided with the FBI don’t really know what’s going on but blindly following the Apple-hate sheeple. The remaining probably don’t understand the gravity of the situation or are blinded by the fact that “... but but it is a phone that belonged to a horrible person, a terrorist!!”
Wow! Like everyone else, I grew up with Jungle Book, movie, weekly cartoons, books etc... probably is the reason for my love & fascination for animals. I’m quite looking forward to this :)
Since Google bought Waze, I’m hoping GMaps gets the ability to change voices as well. I generally have the Maps on mute but with something like this or directions like Air Traffic controllers, I would leave it on forever!
Which movie is the picture from?
I guess there are some facts missing from your reply. Apple has complied with requests in the past & will continue to do in the future (apparently) when it didn’t have to create a backdoor. In the past, these requests have been on phones running iOS 8 or earlier, when encryption wasn’t enabled. Specifically, Apple…
Man, just like the Polish MiG, you only hear a “fichkow” when it passes. Oh that’s awesome!
I love the fact that it isn’t a big roaring growl but just a big whoosh as it flies past. It’s so sneaky!
Holy shit! He was barely off the ground! That was amazing!
Yeah, it was a really cheap shot if this whole thing does turn out to be true. How stupid can they be thinking nobody would look past the smoke screen? They were the ones who went public with this. This was bound to be a huge, global affair. I probably gave them a bit more credit than they deserve.
Haha! Good one :)
Very true. But have they released information on what their actual product will be? Occam’s razor would dictate glasses to be the best solution.
Nopety nope nope. Nope. Apple apparently asked them to continue discussions in private after suggesting 4 methods that might’ve worked without the creation of a backdoor/custom iOS. For various reasons, none of this would work. They never agreed to, and if my interpretation is correct, it never came to the point of…
It would be the same if this was Google or GM or Home Depot. I hope people see past the irrational Apple-hate that they seem to have imprinted into their brains. With so much information & evidence on this fiasco, it’s hard to not make a logical conclusion rather than keep harping on about Apple-hate.
This is horrific. Unfortunately, the eyes of the law are blind to compassion. Perhaps, removing emotion from the legal process keeps it objective but that’s probably an excuse to keep the decision-making process easier. “I don’t care if he beats you, your prenup says you don’t get a penny.”
I’m pretty sure Sony would afraid of that too... that if people boycott them, the artists might as well coz what’s an artist without an audience?
:) I put a /s at the end of my comment.
Well, that’s exactly what’s happening, right? It would be very interesting to see how it plays out. Can you really force a business with a court order? Yes, you can, with a writ they used from a few hundred years ago. The question is will it work. Let’s see :)
Elbow hanging out the window. That lion’s got swagger.
Wow, the feds really did mess this up! Myopic shot on their part to release biased information to sway public opinion and pressure Apple to play by their rules. Well, Trump played right into it. Seems like Apple has pretty much cooperated completely but stopped once the Feds asked them for their balls.
