For a 4x4 this price seems surprisingly fair. I expected to see 200K miles or something goofy like that when I kept reading. For the price and condition, this is a rare Nice Price in this market.

More taxes eh? Just what we all need.
My thoughts exactly. The supply of the collector car market hasn’t shrunk any more than it normally does.
Here’s the thing, and someone correct me if I’m wrong: It seems to me the demand side of the current market is driven by people desperate for a car, any car, in a world of scarcity. If you’re shopping for a well-sorted Carrera, you also have the means to afford a decent DD without much stress, even in today’s madness.…

You have to factor in trolls, the seller and his mom, and the people who suffered involuntary spasms while trying to hit No Dice.
All roads lead to Yesterday’s Buick Was Garbage.
I never understood people’s complete misunderstanding of why Toyota isn’t “leading” in EV like they do in ICE. They are leading. They’ve been electrifying vehicles for damn near 30 years. They’re just astute enough to not push unviable solutions to the masses. Yes, EVs are just now barely becoming viable on the scale…
Respectfully disagree on 1st gear. Seems like normal Toyota modus operandi to me. Toyota tends to focus on one platform at a time when revamping their models. That way Toyota is not overextending itself on engineering manpower like the Detroit Three, who tend to contract a lot of inexperienced talent for short periods…
No joke: I passed an abandoned Model 3 on the shoulder of the highway this morning in my Insight. I feel like there’s a lesson in there somewhere.
Scarcity is a function of demand, not of absolute rarity. Relatively common things are scarce if there still isn’t enough to meet the demand for them.
EV batteries are composed of scarce, expensive materials. Hybrids and PHEVs use much smaller versions of those same batteries. The materials used to make a typical 75kWh EV battery could have been used to make roughly 50 hybrid batteries or 5 PHEV batteries. The battery in a single Hummer EV could have made 133…
What’s the worst article format of all time?
I imagine most Americans would be pretty excited if getting hit by a car only resulted in a lost $3700 after all the surgeries with our healthcare system, so it might be a draw at best.
you know, just because someone sends you a random bill, it doesn’t mean you have to pay it. I’d urge this individual to talk to a BC lawyer who specializes in vehicle insurance claims
Hi... Vancouver based claims person here.
You’re all wrong... what this person needs is something like a used Prius V or a Ford C-Max hybrid.
I guess NP with today’s prices - BUT - I protest, clean the damn car. Disgusting. Did he just move a load of sheetrock? Bags of cement? When was the last timing belt?
