I don’t care if people park in front of my house because I don’t own the road. One thing that does bother me is when someone parks smack dab in the middle of the area in front of my house, and it doesn’t leave room for another car to park behind them. 

I think the answer in all cases is a Toyota something Hybrid, unless you’re really serious about it being quiet. Then look at a Lexus something Hybrid or a Buick.

Without knowing living situation its hard to recommend an EV but if you can charge it I would get a Model 3. Gas isn’t getting any cheaper and SF is stupid expensive already. For a long term purchase you’ll be saving thousands with an EV.
