I'm trying a new recipe for cheesy garlic bread.  Junior Grapes is on the cross country team at his school.  I sent him to his first team potluck dinner with homemade bread and now he's not allowed to come without any.  I'm testing different recipes so they get variety and I get to have more fun in the kitchen. 

I’m a bit over 5'2", have at times been measured to be 5'3" and I round down. I don’t mind being petite, and these rankings back me up. Rounding down lands me at #3, rounding up drops me to #20.

Hot, yes, but fortunately not oppressive.  The humidity hasn't come yet, but we're expecting it next week.  

Junior Grapes has been bingeing anniversary coverage all afternoon with no plans to stop.

It heats the kitchen less than the oven.  While it's cooking, the heat is contained well.  A slow pressure release is essentially letting it cool itself, so lets out little heat.  A quick release lets out steam, but only for a minute or two.

We use the slow cooker and Instant Pot when it's too hot to cook.  

To those saying “No one paid my college, why should we do this?” Tuition and student loan burdens aren't what they used to be.  I graduated from college 20 years ago. Tuition at my alma mater has more than doubled since then. Household incomes have not.

Oh, my goodness.  What a miserable trip.  How awful for your dad that he couldn't be there for your grandfather's final days.
