They have staying power but their prime is past…I want them to succeed but they peaked. They peaked hard and they deserve recognition.

Plastic Beach desperately made me want to like it but I could never fall in love with it. But I applaud you for going full in.

I heard there was a movie idea floating around the 2nd album in 2005 but nothing came of it because it was going to have to be expensive and untested market for what was likely to be an expensive flash animation movie….I see why they would be skiddish but we got a Ghost in the Shell live action film, we could afford a

The website had a great deal of info and each new album sort of expanded on their mythos. Demon Days really dabbled in giving them a full-fledged backstory and even setup their music videos to do that job pretty well. Plastic Beach has a full story tied from Stylo to the later singles in video form again but looser

Only 16 years later and quite possibly too late to make a difference in their sort of 'fun but not revolutionary' trajectory. We should have been on our 3rd movie by now if this thing was going to work. Everybody wanted this to be a thing, yet they steadfastly refused to make it a thing….Even a 2 hour animated band

Yes, because a sad lonely person decides to relive a childhood passion moment is unique and never been done before or ever premised….

I noted it in my comment, by the way, Kentucky is probably a more purple state than West Virginia because Louisville & Lexington are fairly large cities and are only likely to grow as Kentucky's agrarian and coal mines dry up. It will never dip as far red as Tennessee but yeah..Kentucky is likely to turn into a

In many ways, when Louis CK shows up it's as if he comes in with 3 or 4 working sketches ready to roll and all they need to do is fit in the players. You can just feel the tenement sketch, his filmed clown sketch, and the malt shop were all straight out of his mind and was prepped before he ever even got to the

I never saw the two newer films but there was a solid time when people were debating whether the new ones surpassed Tobey Maguire ones. I'm not sure if it's worth going back and watching them when it seems pretty clear the new MCU spiderman is going to just weave him into the greater universe but that kind of stifles

When I lived in Flagstaff I had mexican-american students bring me Mezcal across the border (technically smuggled in) and we had a few drinks in my office at the end of the semester. It's unforgettable in the sense that Tequila is usually sweet, Mezcal is it's savory sibling. It's sweet like most alcohol but much

And if anything we can see using corroborating evidence his SNL appearance along with the massive media push allowed him to dominate the Republican field. Who else got 90 minutes of free adverts that will go up on Netflix/Seeso forever?

Did I say it was the ONLY thing? I even conceded it was a small part but it was a part of it.

Dave Letterman Retires - Turns into Amish Learned Man. Not to say I don't appreciate Colbert in this era now but can we get Dave back for a few specials a year? Just run him out, have him interview somebody huge and let him have his favorite bands like Pearl Jam come out and play. It's amazing how much talent he

Szechuan Sauce at 12 Mil, right? That'll be 9 seasons + the 3 we currently have…

Unlikability and aloof candidate got a significant boost in a 90 minute SNL that was far more jovial towards him. So yes, there is actually pretty significant evidence that while SNL wasn't the ONLY thing it did overall add to his benefit.

It's a solid story from the later Stand Alone Complex series. It's very much a representation of that Major vs. the original anime's version. The changes are sufficient to undercut the original question of whether AI can be 'alive' and the whole point of the *Ghost* in the *shell* was whether you were alive or not

Organizing a guest, getting them there, having a coherent discussion that is interesting is far harder than having your writer's room throw together 10 minutes of semi-funny jokes.

Just willpower alone bore him Shannon….Honestly, that makes sense.

Dafoe is the mom, right?

That was an interesting read if nothing else. O'Connell seems like a guy who should have made a huge career then got on Sliders and had a series of modest hits and misses and just never really got huge. But he was quite honest in that he showed up, did his lines, and didn't look too closely at anything which seems
