The problem with using 'textbook fascism' is that it tends to pointlessly tie itself to extreme forms of economic authoritarianism. It doesn't make Trump's insistence that he'll go protectionist less fascist, it just changes from a direct authority to an indirect authority, it's coercion rather than direct demands.

Damn it, just asked the same question now. I'm confused about the timeline reboot but Logan only went through Weapon X in the 1960's supposedly. None of the X-Men movies past the third adhere to a strict timeline and using the comics simply complicates it more.
