I'm somewhere between the two of you, the MR/MH dad is an aggressively overused trope because it presumes that the mom loves him for some unseen quality (usually his humor) and it just ends up being creepy.

That show would have been better had they killed her character or exiled her when Jax took over the club. I get it, you made a poorly rewritten version of Hamlet….But did you really have to hit ALL the same points? It was a great show that just sort of lost itself sticking to Sutter's 'Vision,' whatever that ended

Tree Trunks is awesome….then they overused her. Which is kind of AT's problem sometimes, they throw out a great one-off episode then write 5 more episodes around that one that expand the lore immensely that can either soar or fall flat. It's their greatest asset and their biggest weakness.

I'm going to defend Robyn on Jessica Jones because there is a clear late season story arc that transitions her from sheer comic book level creepy to appropriate level of weirdness. But I felt the say way till late in the season because her character is so wildly ludicrous on so many levels.

That's just lazy snarking at it's worst. His joker in context looks interesting and absolutely no worse in sheer concept than Heath Ledger's. It's clear this movie is not set in the Nolanverse….we have a woman possessed, a man who makes fire, and an actual crocodile-man. There is no reason to make the joker too

Heh. Ok, I got what you were going for….a bit too obtuse but i'll give points for effort.

This is why the prisoner's dilemma is so frustrating because if you're aware of it you can easily avoid it though I totally get your point in this case.

Clemente was just an all-time great human being. His death hurt this city in a real way, I grew up with adults who had known him as a humanitarian and his death hurt all of them. I grew up being reminded often of what it was to be a great human being like him and how we could only hope to be as amazing as Roberto.

Says the pedantic troll who took the effort to mock a writer on AVC…..The irony burns.

I grew up in Pittsburgh during the 1990s (really lived there my entire life up until a few years ago). But it was a dark time for the Pirates but those old heroes kept the franchise alive. I even knew some truly old people who watched Honus Wagner play and had met him when they were children.

The fear of the Black man was pretty strong…it made them hit the ball harder.

I never realized how bitter they were until I met NYC residents who loved the Yankees that hard that they told me how it has blemished their franchise forever. A stain forever on their beloved Yanks…..It made me feel good inside to know that somehow though..

Lou Gerhig's retirement game.
Babe Ruth's called shot.
Babe Ruth's hit over the crazy right field wall at Forbes Field (it was arguably the longest hit in his era and certainly would be considered a serious contender in the modern era still).

There are tons of arguments about knowing the odds and presuming safety. The problem isn't whether to bet it all but how little to bet. In no situation given their circumstances does 'betting it all' come out as a better option, instead they should have presumed that they were going to hedge their bets (and

I would have had no problem with that but I teach it so often it's ingrained in me. I will say though that the phrasing is incredibly obscure (as were the facts). I understand it needs to be that way for final jeopardy but that was pushing the limits of what an educated person would known given those disparate facts.

. . .You do realize I was mocking those who presume to call any discussion of race and progressive views 'SJWs.' I'm progressive and would definitely be called that by the faux imposters who try to cover their tracks.

Thanks, random internet commenter, I knew it is a proper noun since I'm both a natural born citizen and routinely write it that way all the time. But thank you for wasting the time to point it out. :)

I feel like Galifanakis was best 10 years ago. He just had this very dead pan observational delivery with a sort of underplayed Robin Williams-esque style. Now, he feels like a bloated comedian who found a happy groove and dug himself in for the long haul. So if you do like the creepy, drug-addled, 'I'm funny by

It also coincides with how little professional sports teams COULD make in a period. The value in major league sports exploded in the 1950's when TV rights became more important, then in the 1980's is had the big bang as ESPN turned sports from a local affair into a national business (and the gambling scene grew more

You're right, you're just a run of the mill heckler. You just phrased it in such a way that I thought you were another level of internet douche….Sadly you're just the run of the mill variety.
